| Objective:This study aims to collate the scope of application and prescriptions of the diaphoresis by medical writers and scholars through the ages,compile the articles on the diaphoresis in the Treatise on Typhoid Miscellaneous Diseases,sort out the overview of the origin of the diaphoresis,and standardize the diaphoresis by combining the International Classification of Primary Care,3rd edition(ICPC-3).We will also discuss the scope of sweat therapy and the relationship between sweat therapy and prescriptions,so that it can serve the clinic more effectively.Methods:The data of this study were obtained from the articles about diaphoresis in the Treatise on Typhoid Miscellaneous Diseases.The articles that met the inclusion criteria were imported into ACCESS2010 database,and the original text about diaphoresis,the name of the prescription,the constituent drugs of the prescription,and the usage of the prescription were entered.The data were normalized and standardized,and the symptom subscripts were classified according to ICPC-3 for the neurological system,circulatory system,musculoskeletal system,etc.The results of the ICPC classification and the correlation analysis between the symptoms treated by diaphoresis and prescriptions in the Treatise on Typhoid Miscellaneous Diseases were programmed using SAS9.4.Results:1.A total of 199 articles on diaphoresis were screened according to the inclusion criteria,and 50 diaphoresis formulas,including Mahuang ecoction,Guizhi Decoction,Gegen Decoction,Wuling Powder,and Zhuye Decoction,were compiled and summarized according to the original text of the Treatise on Miscellaneous Diseases of Typhoid Fever and the understanding of the scope of application of diaphoresis by medical scholars in the past generations.The composition of the formula contains mostly pungent and sweet herbs,which can disperse,move,promote,promote and warm the six excessive climates on the surface.The sweet herbs have the function of tonifying,harmonizing and harmonizing the medicinal properties,which can enhance the immune function of the body,thus strengthening the body’s own positive energy to resist the external pathogenic attack.2.Among the main conditions treated by the sweating method,the largest percentage of general and non-specific classification in the primary classification of ICPC was 51.58%,and the main secondary classifications of this were 70(14.86%)for diseases of unclear nature or location,56(11.89%)for fever,35(7.43%)for sweating problems,32(6.79%)for chills,29(6.16%)for pain in multiple parts of the body,29(6.16%),swelling and generalized edema 17(3.61%).16.77% for digestive system,7.01% for respiratory system,5.3% for endocrine,metabolic and nutritional system,4.45 for musculoskeletal system,3.80%for psychological,mental and neurodevelopmental system,3.17% for skin system,3.17% for urinary system,2.74% for nervous system,0.64% for circulatory system,0.64% for pregnancy and childbirth 0.64%,and eye 0.64%.The main conditions treated by the sweat method related to the secondary classification of the digestive system were mainly other symptoms/complaints of the digestive system17(3.61%),including subcardiac plagiocele(3),fullness in the chest and hypochondrium(3),subcardiac palpitation(2),subcardiac hardness(2),subcardiac fullness(2),bitter fullness in the chest and hypochondrium(1),subcardiac branching knot(1),subcardiac plagiocele hardness(1),subcardiac firmness(1),and subcardiac plagiocele hardness(1).This was followed by vomiting 16(3.40%),including vomiting(13),vomiting when water enters(2),and vomiting stops(1).The main sweat method for treating conditions related to the ICPC secondary classification of respiratory system was wheezing 14(2.97%),followed by cough 7(1.49%),shortness of breath4(0.85%),chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and emphysema 3(0.64%),symptoms/complaints of the throat 3(0.64%),and other symptoms/complaints of the nose 2(0.42%).The relevant secondary classification of endocrine,metabolic and nutritional system disorders was mainly excessive thirst with a frequency of 18(3.82%),with specific symptoms of thirst(17)and no thirst(1).The secondary classification of the musculoskeletal system was mainly related to other specific symptoms,complaints and abnormal findings of the musculoskeletal system,with a frequency of 16,accounting for 3.40%.The specific symptoms were body heaviness(4),inability to flex and extend(4),strong several of the collar and back(2),slight shortness of the limbs(1),body acidity(1),body strength(1),body kwai(1),body unkindness(1),and inability to turn the side by itself(1).Psychological,psychiatric and neurodevelopmental secondary categories were mainly related to sensory-behavioral irritability/anger,with a frequency of 14(2.97%)and specific symptoms of irritability(10),upset(3),and frenzy(1).This was followed by feeling sad 3(0.62%),including hehehe(2),and depression(1),and sleep disturbance 1(0.21%),with symptoms such as sleeplessness(1).The secondary classification of the urinary system was related mainly to other specific urinary problems 10(2.12%),with symptoms such as dyspareunia(9),and clear urine(1).The secondary classification of the nervous system was mainly related to headache,with a frequency of 6(1.27%),and the corresponding symptoms were headache(6).The secondary classification of the circulatory system was pain/stress/heart tightness,with a frequency of 3(0.64%)and symptoms of chest fullness(2)and heart pain(1).The secondary classification of the dermatological system was related to changes in skin color,with a frequency of 10(2.12%),and the symptoms were yellow body(3),red face(3),hot face(1),green face(1),yellow face(1),and spots like brocade lines(1).The secondary classification of pregnancy and childbirth system related to other specific and unknown diagnoses and diseases or health conditions of pregnancy,delivery and puerperium with a frequency of3 and a percentage of 0.64%,including postpartum stroke(2),pregnancy(1).It can be seen that the sweat method has a wide range of clinical application and can treat a variety of diseases with evidence-based treatment.3.Analysis of the main conditions treated by the diaphoresis and related prescriptions by system:(1)General and non-specific conditions related prescriptions mainly include:Guizhi Decoction,Mahuang Decoction,Xiaochaihu Decoction.(2)The main formulas related to digestive system diseases are:Xiaochaihu Decoction,Guizhi Decoction and Wuling Powder.(3)Formulas related to respiratory system diseases include Xiaoqinglong Decoction,Mahuang Decoction,and Xiaoqinglong plus gypsum Decoction.(4)Formulas related to endocrine,metabolic and nutritional system disorders include Wuling Powder,Xiaochaihu Decoction,and Xiaoqinglong Decoction.(5)Formulas related to musculoskeletal disorders include:Fangji Huangqi Decoction,Licorice and Gancao Fuzi Decoction,and Gegen Decoction.(6)Formulas related to psychological,mental and neurodevelopmental disorders include Wuling Powder,Xiaochaihu Decoction and Guizhi Decoction.(7)The main formulas for urological disorders are:Wuling Powder.(8)Mainly related to neurological disorders:Guizhi Decoction.(9)Formulas related to diseases of the circulatory system include:Mahuang Decoction,Guizhi Qu Shaoyao Decoction.(10)Formulas related to diseases of the skin system include:Mahuang Lianqiao Chixiaodou Decoction,Yuebi Jiazhu Decoction and Xiaochaihu Decoction.4.Statistical analysis of the contraindications of sweating:(1)no sweating if there is deficiency of Yin;(2)no sweating if there is deficiency of Ying and Blood and superficial evidence;(3)no sweating if there is deficiency in the inner part of the body due to mistakenly lowering and the surface is not relieved;(4)no sweating if there is concurrent disease in the Taiyang and Shaoyang;(5)no sweating if there is evidence in the Shaoyin;(6)no sweating if there is fever syncope;(7)no sweating if there is deficiency of cold and downward flow.Conclusions:The diaphoresis is used to treat a variety of conditions,and after applying the ICPC-3 system specification involves mainly general and non-specific classifications,among which the diseases with unclear nature or location,fever,chills,sweating problems,and pain in multiple parts of the body account for a large proportion.Diseases of unclear nature or location are dominated by solar disease and typhoid fever.The digestive system,respiratory system,endocrine,metabolic and nutritional system,and musculoskeletal system are also mostly involved.The statistical analysis of the main symptoms treated by the sweat method and the related prescriptions showed that the prescriptions of Ma Huang Tang,Gui Zhi Tang,Wu Ling San,Xiao Chai Hu Tang and Xiao Qing Long Tang were more frequently used.The sweat method has a wide therapeutic scope,but it can not be used blindly when you see superficial evidence.Those who have dry throat,gonorrhea and other yin deficiency are not included in the scope of application of the sweat method,and should be treated flexibly by clinical evidence.The sweat method not only can treat external diseases,but also can be applied to the category of internal injuries and miscellaneous diseases,not simply to drug sweat for the purpose,but through the identification and treatment to achieve the Ying and Wei,Qi flow smoothly,positive Qi,so that the evil out of the disease healing.The clinical application of sweating method should grasp the scale of sweating,in order to slightly sweat around the body is preferred. |
