| ObjectiveFrom the knowledge points of "Basic Nursing",the ideological and political elements were deeply explored and refined,professional knowledge education and ideological education were fully integrated,and the "TPKCEE compound teaching model" and teaching reform plan of "Basic Nursing" course based on ideological and political elements were constructed.The effect of the teaching reform plan was verified from the students’ critical thinking ability,professional identity,caring ability,empathy ability,final theory and skill examination results.MethodsThis study is a concurrent randomized controlled study.The study subjects were 148 nursing undergraduates of Grade 2020 from a nursing school of a university in Inner Mongolia,randomly divided into experimental group and control group by class,with 74 students in experimental group and 74 students in control group.The experimental group adopted the‘TPKCEE teaching mode’based on the ideological and political philosophy of the curriculum,while the control group adopted the conventional teaching mode.All the students in this study were informed consent.In order to analyze the application effect of‘TPKCEE teaching model’based on ideological and political philosophy in Basic Nursing Science,Evaluative thinking ability,professional identity,caring and empathic ability,theory and skill scores of the subjects were evaluated and compared before and after intervention.SPSS26.0 statistical software was used to analyze and verify the data collected in this study.Results1.Before intervention,there was no significant difference between the two groups in critical thinking,professional identity,caring ability and empathic ability(P > 0.05),indicating that the two groups were comparable.2.After the intervention,the experimental group had statistically significant differences in critical thinking,professional identity and empathy ability compared with the control group(P < 0.05).3.After intervention,the theoretical score of the intervention group was higher than that of the control group,the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05),but the difference of experimental score between two groups was not statistically significant(P > 0.05).4.There were no significant differences in critical thinking,professional identity,caring ability and empathy ability between the control group before and after intervention(P > 0.05).After intervention,critical thinking,professional identity and empathy ability of experimental group were higher than that before intervention,and the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05).Conclusion1.Compared with conventional teaching,the TPKCEE teaching model based on the ideological and political ideas of the curriculum can significantly improve students’ critical thinking,professional identity and empathy ability.2.Compared with conventional teaching,the TPKCEE teaching model based on the ideological and political ideas of the curriculum can improve students’ theoretical scores. |
