| Objective: To investigate the clinical effect of anterior repositioning splint and extracorporeal electromagnetic shock wave on patients with anterior disc displacement of TMJ.Methods: A total of 51 patients with the anterior disc displacement of TMJ from the two groups met the criteria(Treatment with anterior repositioning splint: 23 cases,Treatment with extracorporeal electromagnetic shock wave : 28 cases)were collected.Respectively,by comparing the differences in VAS,Mouth opening degree,DI value,SDS,SAS,SF-36 scores and eight dimensions in the SF-36,before and 3months post-treatment.To compare the clinical effect of anterior repositioning splin and extracorporeal electromagnetic shock wave on patients with ADDWR.Results: By performing statistical analysis of two uneven data, the difference between the Mouth opening、SF-36 scores and eight dimensions in the SF-36 pre-and 3 months post-treatment was not significantly different after extracorporeal electromagnetic shock wave therapy or anterior repositioning splint therapy.Extracorporeal electromagnetic shock wave therapy compare with anterior repositioning splint therapy show more difference in the VAS,SAS and SDS for the anterior disc displacement with reduction. However, anterior repositioning splint therapy compare with extracorporeal electromagnetic shock wave therapy show more difference in improving the DI value for the anterior disc displacement with reduction. Conclusion: The clinical treatment effect of treating the ADDWR are excellent with anterior repositioning splint therapy and extracorporeal electromagnetic shock wave therapy. The clinical treatment effect of extracorporeal electromagnetic shock wave therapy compare with anterior repositioning splint therapy have more better clinical effect in VAS value 、 SAS and SDS scores. But the clinical effect of anterior repositioning splint therapy have more clinical effect in DI value. |
