ObjectiveBy observing the effects of ShenQiHeXue Decoction on short-term recovery after Zero-profile anterior cervical interbody fusion for cervical spondylotic myelopathy, the clinical efficacy and safety were explored to provide a new insight into the perioperative treatment of Zero-P ACIF.MethodsThis study strictly adhered to the inclusion criteria and exclusion criteria to select 60 patients with cervical spondylosis who underwent Zero-P ACIF surgery for 1-2 segments, and according to the order of hospitalization, they were randomly divided into treatment group and control group. The patients in the control group were treated with conventional treatment after surgery, and were instructed to do functional exercises. On this basis, the treatment group began to take ShenQiHeXue Decoction,1 dose/day,after the first day of surgery, and warmly take it 1 hour after breakfast, lunch and dinner for 7 consecutive days. The hemoglobin, red blood cell hematocrit,VAS score,JOA score were observed and recorded before surgery,3 days after surgery and 7 days after surgery;the quantitative score of traditional Chinese medicine syndrome was observed and recorded before surgery and 7 days after surgery, and the above data were analyzed by statistical methods to comprehensively evaluate the efficacy.Results1.General Date:Comparison of gender, age, surgical segment,BMI index, operation time, intraoperative bleeding, preoperative hemoglobin, preoperative red blood cell hematocrit, preoperative VAS score, preoperative JOA score, and preoperative quantitative score of TCM syndrome between the two groups showed no statistically significant difference(P>0.05),indicating that the baseline data and preoperative indicators of the two groups were comparable.2.hemoglobin:Comparison of data between the two groups at each measurement time showed that there was no statistically significant difference at 3 days after surgery(t=1.025,P=0.310>0.05),but there was a statistically significant difference at 7 days after surgery(t=2.294,P=0.025<0.05).Repeated measurement variance analysis showed that under the consideration of time effect only:F=144.839,P=0.000<0.05;under the consideration of time and group effect:F=7.550,P=0.001<0.05,indicating that both treatments could improve the postoperative anemia of the patients, and the improvement effect of the treatment group was better than that of the control group.3.Hematocrit:Comparison of data between the two groups at each measurement time revealed that there was no statistically significant difference at 3 days after surgery(t=1.063,P=0.292>0.05),but there was a statistically significant difference at 7 days after surgery(t=2.629,P=0.011<0.05).Repeated measurement variance analysis showed that under the consideration of time effect only:F=72.649,P=0.000<0.05;under the consideration of time and group effect:F=5.058,P=0.008<0.05,indicating that both treatments could improve the postoperative anemia of the patients, and the improvement effect of the treatment group was superior to that of the control group.4.VAS score:Comparison of data between the two groups at each measurement time revealed that there was a statistically significant difference at 3 days after surgery(Z=-2.475,P=0.013<0.05),but there was no statistically significant difference at 7 days after surgery(Z=-0.324,P=0.746>0.05).In combination with the generalized estimation equation, under the consideration of time effect only:Wald χ2=2488.003,P=0.000<0.05;under the consideration of time and group effect:Wald χ2=3.793,P=0.150>0.05,indicating that both treatments could alleviate the pain of the patients, and the treatment group had a more obvious improvement in the short-term pain symptoms than the control group, but there was no obvious advantage in the long-term comparison.5.JOA score:Comparison of data between the two groups at each measurement time revealed that there was no statistically significant difference at 3 days after surgery(Z=-0.703,P=0.482>0.05),but there was a statistically significant difference at 7 days after surgery(Z=-2.249,P=0.024<0.05).In combination with the generalized estimation equation, under the consideration of time effect only:Wald χ2=708.714,P=0.000<0.05;under the consideration of time and group effect:Wald χ2=2.181,P=0.336>0.05,indicating that both treatments could improve the cervical cord function, and the improvement effect of the treatment group was more obvious than that of the control group.6.Quantitative score of TCM syndrome:Comparison of data between the two groups at each measurement time revealed that there was no statistically significant difference before surgery(Z=-0.183,P=0.855>0.05),but there was a statistically significant difference at 7 days after surgery(Z=-5.730,P=0.000<0.05).This indicates that the treatment group had a more obvious improvement in the TCM syndrome than the control group.ConclusionShenQiHeXue Decoction has been demonstrated to effectively improve postoperative anemia, alleviate postoperative pain, enhance cervical cord function, and treat postoperative qi-deficiency and blood-stasis symptoms, thus promoting early postoperative recovery and improving the quality of life in the early stage, making it worthy of clinical promotion and application.
