Objective: By collecting the basic data of patients who were diagnosed as chronic myeloid leukemia included in the SEER database,as well as the basic clinical data of patients with chronic myeloid leukemia who were admitted to in the first Affiliated Hospital of Hainan Medical University and the Second Affiliated Hospital of Hainan Medical University, and who were diagnosed as chronic myeloid leukemia for the first time and in the chronic phase,to explore the influencing factors of survival in patients with chronic myeloid leukemia. Methods: 1.SEER database: Collecting the basic data of patients who were diagnosed as chronic myeloid leukemia from2000 to 2018,which included in the SEER database, including gender, diagnosis time, diagnosis age, survival time and survival state, etc.IBM SPSS Statistics 26.0 and R software were used for statistical analysis of the data obtained from the SEER database to evaluate the influencing factors on survival of patients with chronic myeloid leukemia.2.Clinical data: The basic clinical data of patients who were diagnosed as chronic myeloid leukemia for the first time and in the chronic phase, and who were admitted to in the first Affiliated Hospital of Hainan Medical University and the Second Affiliated Hospital of Hainan Medical University from January 1,2012 to December 31,were collected. The collected data mainly included:(1)gender,diagnosis time and diagnosis age;(2)Whether the patients progressed to the accelerated phase and the time of acceleration,as well as whether the patients progressed to the blastic phase and the time of blastic phase, during the follow-up;(3)Eosinophil count, basophil count, hemoglobin concentration, coefficient of variation of erythrocyte distribution width and platelet count in blood routine when diagnosed as chronic myeloid leukemia. The final follow-up time was set as February 30,2023,and the survival time and survival state of the patients were recorded. The basic clinical data were statistically analyzed using IBM SPSS Statistics 26.0 and R software to evaluate the influencing factors on survival of patients with chronic myeloid leukemia. Results: 1.SEER database:(1)A total of 23159 patients with CML were included;(2)In patients with CML,the incidence rate of male was higher than that of female, the risk of death was higher in males than in females;(3)The incidence rate of CML increased gradually when humans are older than 20 years, the risk of death in CML patients increased gradually when patients are older than 45 years.2.Clinical data:(1)A total of 101 patients with CML were included;(2)In patients with CML,the incidence rate of male was higher than that of female, the risk of death was higher in males than in females;(3)The risk of death in CML patients increased with age gradually;(4)Patients with CML were more likely to progress to the accelerated phase and/or the blastic phase when the level of absolute eosinophil count in complete blood count was higher and/or the coefficient of variation in the distribution width of red blood cells was higher, and the risk of death was higher in CML patients. Conclusion: Sex,age, eosinophilic granulocyte level and coefficient of variation of red blood cell distribution width are factors affecting the survival of patients with CML.
