Objective: High grade glioma(HGG),classified as grade III and IV glioma according to the World Health Organization(WHO),is a life-threatening type of brain cancer characterized by aggressive tumor growth. The Department of Neurosurgery of the First Affiliated Hospital of Xinjiang Medical University has been using these techniques to perform surgery for intracerebral malignant tumors since the end of 2020 when it was equipped with adjuvant tools such as sodium fluorescein, multimodal neuronavigation, intraoperative ultrasound, and electrophysiological monitoring, and has achieved better surgical results. In this study,we investigated the therapeutic effect of fluorescein sodium combined with multimodal neuronavigation in the surgery of high-grade glioma.METHODS: Patients with a clear diagnosis of high-grade glioma by postoperative pathology and intraoperative microsurgical resection using fluorescein sodium combined with multimodal neuronavigation after surgical treatment at the First Affiliated Hospital of Xinjiang Medical University from January 2021 to December 2022 were collected as the experimental group.Another retrospective analysis Patients who were clearly diagnosed with high-grade glioma by postoperative pathology and underwent surgical resection by direct microscopic view from January 2019 to December2020 in the Department of Neurosurgery of the First Affiliated Hospital of Xinjiang Medical University were set as the control group. The tumor specimens obtained intraoperatively from the two groups were analyzed by pathological typing and immunohistochemistry in the Department of Pathology of our hospital, and the rate of complete tumor resection was determined by comparing the preoperative and postoperative cranial enhancement MRI data between the two groups.26.0 statistical software was used for statistical analysis, and t-test was used for comparison of measurement data, and X2 test was used for categorical data, and P<0.05 was considered statistically significant. Results: There were 24 male patients and 16 female patients in the experimental group, with an average age of 51.17±14.52 years;23 male patients and16 female patients in the control group, with an average age of 55.38±15.27 years;14cases of WHO grade III glioma and 26 cases of WHO grade IV glioma in the experimental group;10 cases of WHO grade III glioma and 29 cases of WHO grade IV glioma in the control group;79 cases Among the 79 patients,40 patients(50.63%)had total tumor resection,of which the total tumor resection rate was 87.5%(35/40)in the experimental group and 12.82%(5/39)in the control group, and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P = 0.000<0.05);the differences in KPS scores and postoperative complications between the two groups before and one week after surgery were not statistically significant(P > 0.05).CONCLUSION: Fluorescein sodium multi combined with modal neuronavigation-assisted resection of high-grade gliomas improves the resection rate of high-grade gliomas without increasing the risk of postoperative complications.
