| Objective:To evaluate the clinical efficacy of acupuncture in treating vasospasm(stasis and obstruction of blood)after traumatic subarachnoid hemorrhage and explore more possibilities for TCM treatment of vasospasm after traumatic subarachnoid hemorrhage.Methods:64 patients with traumatic subarachnoid hemorrhage-induced cerebral vasospasm were randomly divided into a control group and an experimental group, with 32 patients in each group. The control group was given routine treatment and nimodipine tablets;the experimental group was given acupuncture and moxibustion on the basis of the control group. The group was treated with acupuncture and moxibustion once a day for 21 days. The changes in the average blood flow velocity of the middle cerebral artery and posterior cerebral artery at different time points of the two groups of patients were observed and recorded,as well as the Glasgow Outcome Scale(GOS)prognostic score after 6 months of follow-up.Results:After 21 days of treatment, there were statistically significant differences between the experimental group and the control group in terms of the average blood flow velocity of the middle cerebral artery, posterior cerebral artery and GOS prognostic score(P< 0.05).Conclusion:This study found through experiments that acupuncture can effectively treat traumatic subarachnoid hemorrhage-induced cerebral vasospasm, improve patient prognosis and clinical symptoms, and its efficacy is better than that of conventional treatment with Western medicine alone... |
