Objective:A literature study was used to investigate and analyze the TCM syndrome types, syndrome elements distribution and combination laws, medication rule and treatment principles of perimenopausal insomnia, which can provide some reference basis for clinical treatment of this disease.Method:The literature related to Chinese medicine for perimenopausal insomnia included in databases such as China Academic Journal Full Text Database(CNKI),Vip Chinese Journal Database(VIP),Wanfang Database were searched from the establishment of the database to January 1,2023.The standard database was established through screening, data normalization and data extraction.Frequency analysis was performed using Excel 2019 tables, and cluster analysis and association rule analysis were performed for high frequency drugs.Results:1.178 papers that met the inclusion criteria were screened,34 TCM syndrome types were summarized,178 prescriptions involving 138 drugs were included, and they were classified into 17 categories according to their efficacy, with a total frequency of 2027.2.The common types of perimenopausal insomnia are heart and kidney disorder, yin deficiency and fire, liver and kidney yin deficiency, kidney yin deficiency, liver depression and kidney deficiency, liver qi stagnation, and liver depression and fire.3.The common pathological elements of perimenopausal insomnia are kidney, liver and heart in that order, and the common pathological elements are yin deficiency, heat and qi stagnation in that order;the combination of pathological elements is most often yin deficiency and heat,qi stagnation and heat;among them, yin deficiency and heat are most closely related to heart and kidney, and qi stagnation is most closely related to liver.4.The top six drug categories for treating perimenopausal insomnia are deficiency tonics,tranquilizers,heat-clearing drugs, astringent drugs, liver and wind-suppressing drugs, and antiphlogistic drugs, and the most used deficiency tonics are blood tonics and qi tonics.5.There are 37 high-frequency drugs(frequency ≥ 20)for the treatment of perimenopausal insomnia, and the top 10 drugs are sour date palm, dioscorea, white peony, oyster, yellow lily, angelica, poria, dragon bone, yam, and shamrock.6.The main flavors and meridians of drugs for perimenopausal insomnia were cold, warm, and flat;sweet, bitter, and pungent;and liver, heart, and kidney meridians.7.Cluster analysis of 37 high-frequency drugs yielded 6 groups of clusters;association rule analysis yielded 38 drug pairs and drug group association rules.Conclusion:1.The most common type of perimenopausal insomnia is heart and kidney disorder, followed by yin deficiency and fire, liver and kidney yin deficiency, kidney yin deficiency, liver depression and kidney deficiency, liver qi stagnation, and liver depression and fire. The occurrence of perimenopausal insomnia is closely related to the liver, kidney and heart, with yin deficiency, heat and qi stagnation as its common pathogenic elements, and the basic pathogenesis is the deficiency of punching and loss, disorder of internal organs, deregulation of qi and blood, and loss of intercourse between yin and yang.2.The treatment of perimenopausal insomnia is mainly based on deficiency tonics, tranquilizers and heat-clearing drugs, which are cold, warm and flat, with sweet, bitter and pungent flavors, and mainly belong to the liver, heart and kidney meridians. The main treatment principle of perimenopausal insomnia is to nourish the liver and kidney, nourish blood and heart, nourish yin and submerge yang, calm the mind, relieve liver and depression, and clear heat and eliminate annoyance, and flexibly apply formulas such as Gui Zhi Plus Long Bone Oyster Tang,Huang Lian Agaricus Tang and Er Zhi Wan.
