| ObjectiveThrough sorting out and analyzing the theoretical research on the use of indirect system and work performance at home and abroad, this research puts forward a research hypothesis on the relationship between the indirect use of medical electronic medical record system and work performance based on social network theory,principal-agent theory, technology acceptance model and perceived risk theory, builds a theoretical model based on research assumptions, and uses empirical research methods to verify the theoretical model,In order to understand the construction of hospital information system from the perspective of behavioral science; To provide theoretical basis and practical reference for hospital managers to fully understand doctors’indirect system use behavior, understand the antecedents of indirect system use behavior and the relationship mechanism with work performance; To provide a new perspective and decision support for managing and standardizing the use of doctors’systems, improve doctors’work performance, and promote hospital information construction.MethodsThis study formed research hypotheses and theoretical models about the antecedents of the indirect use of physician electronic medical record system and the relationship between the antecedents and job performance through literature analysis, interviews and other methods, and formed questionnaires based on the theoretical models.Through the online anonymous questionnaire,we investigated the doctors in six Class A hospitals in southern Anhui, central and northern Anhui Province. After data analysis,506 valid data were obtained. The partial least squares structural equation model was used for statistical analysis.Descriptive statistical analysis, reliability analysis, validity analysis, common method deviation test and structural equation model analysis were carried out through statistical analysis software such as SPSS26.0 and Smart PLS 3.0.Results:(1)Based on literature review and interview research, this study constructs a theoretical model of the relationship between the indirect use of the electronic medical record system and work performance. The model consists of 7 variables:perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, perceived risk, indirect system usage behavior, task performance, quality of doctor-patient communication and tie strength.(2)A total of 506 valid questionnaires were collected in this study. The indirect usage rate of the electronic medical record system for doctors is 77.6%,which is relatively common. The data analysis results of this study show that Cronbach’sαAnd CR values are greater than 0.7,AVE values are greater than 0.5,the factor load of observation variables of each latent variable is higher than its cross load on other latent variables, the value of the square root of AVE of each latent variable is greater than the correlation coefficient between other latent variables, and the HTMT value of each variable is less than 0.85.The data passed the reliability and validity test. The variance explained by one factor of Harman single factor test was 38.614%,and the proportion of common method factor test was 35.92:1.Structural equation model analysis was conducted on the data, and the results showed that hypothesis 1:the perceived usefulness of doctors is negatively correlated with indirect system usage behavior, with a path coefficient of0.410(P<0.05),and hypothesis 1 is not valid;Hypothesis 2:The perceived ease of use of doctors is negatively correlated with indirect system usage behavior, with a path coefficient of-0.167(P<0.05),which holds hypothesis 2;Hypothesis 3:The perceived risk of doctors is negatively correlated with indirect system usage behavior, with a path coefficient of 0.071(P>0.05),and Hypothesis 3 is not valid;Hypothesis 4:The indirect system usage behavior of doctors is positively correlated with task performance, with a path coefficient of 0.500(P<0.05),which holds hypothesis 4;Hypothesis 5:The indirect system usage behavior of doctors is positively correlated with the quality of doctor-patient communication, with a path coefficient of 0.512(P<0.05),which holds hypothesis 5;Hypothesis 6:The strength of the relationship positively regulates the relationship between doctors’indirect system usage behavior and task performance, with a path coefficient of 0.113(P<0.05),and Hypothesis 6 holds;Assumption 7:The strength of the relationship positively regulates the relationship between the indirect system usage behavior of doctors and the quality of doctor-patient communication, with a path coefficient of 0.221(P<0.05).Assumption 7 is valid. The R~2used in the indirect system of this study is 0.132,with weak explanatory power. The R~2for task performance is 0.250,and after introducing relationship strength, the R~2 increases to0.291,with moderate explanatory power. The R~2 for doctor-patient communication is0.263,and after introducing relationship strength, the R~2 increases to 0.368,with strong explanatory power. Conclusion and recommendationsThrough the construction of theoretical models and empirical tests, this study found that perceived usefulness has a positive impact on doctors’indirect system use behavior;Perceived ease of use negatively affects doctors’indirect system use behavior;Perceived risk has no significant impact on doctors’indirect system use behavior; The indirect system use behavior has a positive impact on doctors’task performance and doctor-patient communication quality; The strength of the relationship positively regulates the relationship between the use of indirect systems and the performance of doctors’tasks and the quality of doctor-patient communication.Based on the above research results, this study believes that hospital managers should deeply understand the indirect use behavior of doctors, establish an indirect system use system, strengthen the construction of hospital trust culture, and optimize the operation and function of the electronic medical record system. |
