Teeth are one of the important organs of the human body,and they are also the hardest human organs.The functions they undertake are not only cutting and chewing,but also maintaining the shape of the face and assisting pronunciation.Once the teeth are deformed during the growth process,it will affect the function of the teeth themselves and the aesthetics of the face.Due to the influence of bad eating habits and various external factors,dental health problems have become very common in the population.In recent years,the number of people who choose orthodontic treatment has been increasing.However,the degree of automation of orthodontic systems in the market is relatively low,and improving the automation level of tooth arrangement in the orthodontic system can significantly improve orthodontic efficiency,in thesis,computer knowledge and dental knowledge are combined to design and implement a digital tooth arrangement system that can improve the efficiency of orthodontic treatment.The main research contents include the following aspects:Data acquisition and processing.Understand the medical characteristics of teeth and the storage format of tooth image data and tooth triangle mesh data in the computer,read the segmented tooth image data and convert it into tooth triangle mesh data,after smoothing the surface of tooth triangle mesh data,the tooth data including the crown and root are obtained.In order to support the operation of a single tooth in the subsequent process,a suitable file format is designed to save the tooth segmentation results.Semi-automatic tooth arrangement algorithm based on ideal dental arch line.Firstly,adjust the pose of the central incisors; secondly,determine the type of teeth,among which,a tooth rough classification algorithm based on the number of teeth is designed to assist the type determination; then,for different types of teeth,calibrate the required feature points,In order to avoid the extra workload brought by the introduction of tooth root information,an automatic root point detection algorithm based on k-nearest neighbor search is designed; a reference plane is generated according to the feature points of the teeth and the initial pose adjustment of the teeth is automatically completed; according to the reference plane and the feature points,obtain the ideal dental arch line; finally,calculate the new pose of each tooth according to the ideal dental arch line,and complete the rearrangement of the teeth.Digital tooth arrangement system.Around the semi-automatic tooth arrangement algorithm,the digital tooth arrangement system is designed and developed using modern C++.The system further integrates digital technology with dentistry,realizes the abovementioned semi-automatic tooth arrangement algorithm,and guides users to use this algorithm to arrange teeth with an interactive interface.At the same time,it provides complete data reading and writing,tooth pose adjustment and other interactive logic,and provides a number of auxiliary functions including curvature display and oriented bounding box display,making the system more interactive.Use the digital tooth arrangement system to simulate tooth arrangement and record the amount of manual work required for tooth arrangement,and compare the overall tooth arrangement process with the traditional manual tooth arrangement process,assess the quality and workload of the permutation.The results show that the system has practical significance.It not only effectively reduces the workload required by orthodontists for arranging teeth,but also has a better effect of arranging teeth.It is also user-friendly in terms of system use.
