Objective:To understand the current status of symptom management self-efficacy in patients with chronic heart failure,explore the influencing factors of symptom management self-efficacy in patients with chronic heart failure,and provide a basis for improving the level of symptom management self-efficacy in patients with chronic heart failure.Method:Using convenience sampling method,230 patients with chronic heart failure who were hospitalized in the Cardiovascular Department of two tertiary A comprehensive hospitals in Baise City,Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region from July 2021 to November2022 were selected as the study subjects.The survey was conducted using the Perceived Social Support Scale,Symptom Management Self Efficacy Scale,and Memorial Heart Failure Symptom Assessment Scale.Use SPSS23.0 software for statistical analysis to α= 0.05 is the inspection level.Result:The total score of symptom management self-efficacy in 230 patients with chronic heart failure was(6.39 ± 2.16)points;The total score of perceived social support is(54.75±14.63),with the highest score in the family support dimension item;The total score of heart failure symptom evaluation(3.67±1.24).The self-efficacy score of patient symptom management was positively correlated with the total score of social support,family support,friend support,and other support(r=0.689,0.518,0.578,0.661,P<0.001),and significantly negatively correlated with symptom burden(r=-0.545,P<0.001);Multiple linear regression analysis showed that different age,educational level,per capita monthly income of families,number of comorbidities,social support,and symptom burden were independent influencing factors for the self-efficacy level of symptom management in patients with chronic heart failure,accounting for 58.9% of the total variance.Conclusion:(1)Symptom management self-efficacy in patients with chronic heart failure is at a moderate level.(2)The higher the social support level and symptom burden of patients with chronic heart failure,the higher the self-efficacy level of symptom management The younger the age,the higher the education level,the higher the per capita monthly income of the family,the fewer the number of comorbidities,and the higher the self-efficacy level of patient symptom management.
