In recent years, public health emergencies have caused a serious psychological impact on residents, and also posed a threat to residents’ lives and property safety.Imitation behavior is a kind of emergency behavior that residents can easily produce when faced with public health emergencies.Imitation behavior often lacks rational thinking, which can easily lead to large-scale conformity behavior, breaking the normal life order and situation. At present, there are many studies on emergency behaviors under public health emergencies, however, empirical studies on emergency imitation behaviors and their influencing factors under public health emergencies are still rare.At present, the research results on imitation behavior all focus on the perspective of individual behavior choice, ignoring the connection relationship between individual behavior and social networks.Individual activities do not survive in the social vacuum, but are embedded in the network of various social relations that they live in,and their activities and behavioral results are all affected by the social relations network environment that they live in.Therefore, studying the impact of residents’ social networks on their emergency emulation behaviors in public health emergencies can help us to gain a deeper understanding of their impact mechanisms and make targeted governance recommendations on this issue.Based on the perspective of social network structure and relationship, through the network scale, network centrality, network density, dependence, trust and mutual benefit,we discuss the theory of social network structure characteristics, and propose the corresponding assumptions.Based on the survey data of 1,084 ordinary residents, this paper found that through descriptive statistics, reliability and validity analysis, correlation analysis and regression analysis:(1)in public health emergencies, all dimensions of residents’ social network structure have a significant impact on emergency imitation behavior.Among them, the larger the scale of the resident social network, the lower the possibility of emergency imitation behavior. The higher the center degree of resident social network, the lower the possibility of emergency imitation behavior. The greater the density of residents’ social network, the lower the possibility of emergency imitation behavior.(2)In public health emergencies, all dimensions of residents’ social network relationship have a significant impact on emergency imitation behavior. The more dependent the residents are,the higher the possibility of emergency imitation behavior. The more trust between the residents, the higher the possibility of emergency imitation behavior. The more reciprocal the residents are,the higher the likelihood of emergency imitation behavior.According to the above research results,we believe that the residents ’social network has a significant impact on their imitation in public health emergencies, and we can start from the social network to address the residents’ emergency imitation in public health emergencies.Based on the theory of collaborative governance, this study puts forward the collaborative governance mechanism of government and social network.Specifically, there are the following three suggestions, hoping to help imitate the behavior in the management of public health emergencies.First, build a diversified social network structure;second, build a high-quality social network relationship;third, the managers should reasonably use the social network to guide the residents to form a positive imitation effect.
