Objective:The purpose of this study was to formulate a scientific, effective and practical training program for suicide"gatekeeper"of oncology nurses through qualitative research, expert consultation and literature review.Based on the empirical study, this paper evaluated the scientificity, practicability and validity of the training program for suicide"gatekeeper"of oncology nurses, aiming to provide references for the training of suicide"gatekeeper"of oncology nurses in various medical institutions at all levels in China.Methods:(1)Descriptive qualitative research method was used to explore the obstacle factors of oncology nurses in preventing patients’suicide, the data was encoded and sorted by software NVivo 12.0,and was analyzed according to content analysis method.(2)According to literature review, qualitative research results and group discussion, combining with Living Works training mode, the first draft of suicide"gatekeeper"training scheme for oncology nurses was formulated, and the final draft was formed based on two rounds of expert consultation.According to Delphi method, the scientific and effective research results were tested.(3)The Validity of the training program of suicide"gatekeeper"for nurses in oncology department was implemented and evaluated by using self-anterior-posterior control study in similar experimental study. The statistical methods included descriptive statistical method, paired t test and Chi-square test.We have defined that P<0.05 means there is statistical significance.Results:(1)The results of qualitative research showed that there are four main obstacles in preventing patients from suicide in oncology nurses:Obstacles in evaluation link, intervention link,follow-up,Social and cultural factors.(2)The positive coefficient of two rounds of expert inquiry was 100%,and the authoritative coefficient of experts was 0.92 and 0.97 respectively. The results of the first round of analysis showed that the coefficient of variation(CV)was between 0.10 and 0.16.The results of the second round of analysis showed that the coefficient of variation(CV)was between 0.09 and 0.11.(3)The results of experimental studies showed that the total scores and four dimensions of self-efficacy of suicide"gatekeeper"of oncology nurses after training were significantly higher than those before training(P<0.05,P<0.01);After the training, the total scores and five dimensions of the ability to recognize suicide warning signals of oncology nurses were significantly higher than those before training(P<0.05,P<0.01);After the training, the correct rate of suicide prevention knowledge in most items of oncology nurses was significantly higher than that before training(P<0.05,P<0.01).Conclusions:According to literature review, qualitative research results, expert consultation a nd group discussion, combined with Living Works training mode, the scheme of su icide"gatekeeper"for oncology nurses seemed scientific, practical and effective,wh ich may provide references for the training of suicide"gatekeeper"for oncology nu rses in various medical institutions at all levels in China. |
