Objective1.To understand the current status of health behavior, family function and self-perception of aging of elderly patients with ischemic stroke.2.To analyze the influencing factors of health behavior of elderly patients with ischemic stroke.3.To identify the mediating role of self-perception of aging in family function and health behavior in elderly patients with ischemic stroke.MethodA cross-sectional survey method was used to select 195 elderly patients with ischemic stroke who were admitted to a tertiary hospital in Dalian from December 2021 to September 2022.The research tools were General Information Questionnaire, the Health Behavior of Stroke Patients Questionnaire,APGAR and the Aging Perceptions Questionnaire.Data were input into Excel, and statistical analysis was performed using SPSS 25.0 for descriptive analysis, univariate analysis, linear regression analysis,Pearson correlation analysis, and Amos 24.0 was used to construct a structural equation model to analyze the mediating effect of self-perception of aging between family function and health behavior.Result1.The total health behavior score of elderly patients with ischemic stroke was(72.96±9.87).The mean scores of each dimension from high to low was as follows :Getting rid of bad habits behavior(4.31±0.67),avoiding harmful health behaviors(3.08±0.80),warning behavior(2.97±0.56),basic health behavior(2.89±0.58),and health behavior(2.13±0.60).The total score of family function in elderly patients with ischemic stroke was(6.49±1.93).The total score of positive self-perception of aging in elderly patients with ischemic stroke was(27.19 ± 4.87),with 2 subscales in descending order: control positive(3.48±0.65)and consequences positive(3.26±0.66);the total score of negative self-perception of aging was(72.50±12.93),with 5subscales in descending order: consequences negative(3.42 ± 0.81),timeline acute/chronic(3.22±0.78),control negative(3.09±0.58),timeline cyclical(3.02±0.53),and emotional representations(2.37±0.67).2.A multiple linear regression analysis was performed using the total health behavior score of elderly patients with ischemic stroke as the dependent variable, and the six variables affecting the total health behavior score(gender, place of residence, marital status, education, monthly per capita household income, and number of strokes),the total family function score, and the score of distribution list of self-perception of aging in the univariate analysis as independent variables. The results showed that a total of 6 variables, including gender, education, monthly per capita household income, marital status, family function score, negative self-perception of aging entered the regression equation and explained a total of 57.5% of the variance in health behavior.3.Family function in elderly patients with ischemic stroke was positively correlated with health behaviors and positive self-perception of aging(r=0.640,P<0.05)(r=0.610,P< 0.05),and negatively correlated with negative self-perception of aging(r=-0.680,P<0.05),positive self-perception of aging were positively correlated with health behavior(r=0.515,P<0.05)and negative self-perception of aging were negatively correlated with health behavior(r=-0.589,P<0.05).4.Structural equation model analysis revealed a partial mediating role of negative self-perception of aging between family function and health behavior in elderly patients with ischemic stroke.Conclusion1.The level of health behavior, family function and self-perception of aging in elderly patients with ischemic stroke are moderate, negative self-perception of aging needs to be improved.2.Health behavior of elderly patients with ischemic stroke are influenced by gender, education, monthly per capita household income, marital status, family function, and negative self-perception of aging, suggesting that medical staff should focus on patients who are male, have low education, poor financial status, divorced or widowed.3.Family function in elderly patients with ischemic stroke was positively correlated with total health behavior score and positive self-perception of aging, and negatively correlated with negative self-perception of aging;positive self-perception of aging positively predicts health behavior and negative self-perception of aging negatively predicts health behavior.4.Negative self-perception of aging in elderly patients with ischemic stroke partially mediates the relationship between their family function and health behavior.Family function indirectly affects health behavior through negative self-perception of aging,Clinical medical staff can use the mediating relationship to improve negative self-perception of aging by increasing family function, thereby improving health behavior of elderly ischemic stroke patients.
