OBJECTIVE: To investigate the clinical efficacy of suspension push-up exercise technique on patients with chronic non-specific lower back pain,and to analyze the effect on surface electromyography before and after intervention.METHODS: In this study,60 patients with chronic non-specific lower back pain who met the inclusion criteria were divided into two groups according to 1:1 by random number table method.Both groups were given health education,and the control group was given conventional tui na manipulation treatment,while the experimental group was given suspension tui na exercise technique treatment,30 min/time,1 time/day,5 times/week,for 4 weeks.The Oswestry dysfunction index(ODI),visual analogue score of pain(VAS),total physical health score(PCS)and total mental health score(MCS)of the short version of the quality of life scale(SF-12)were used to assess patients’ dysfunction,pain and quality of life before and after treatment,and the surface electromyography(s EMG)of the erector spinae and multifidus muscles were measured with an electromyographic biofeedback instrument.Median frequency(MF)and integrated EMG values(i EMG)were measured by EMG biofeedback.RESULTS: The differences between the two groups of patients at baseline were not statistically significant(P>0.05)and were comparable.Before treatment,the differences in ODI score,VAS score,PCS score,MCS score,and MF and i EMG values between the two groups were not statistically significant(P>0.05).After treatment,patients in both groups showed significant improvement in ODI scores,VAS scores,PCS scores,MCS scores,and MF and i EMG values(P<0.05),with no statistically significant differences between the two groups in MF values(P>0.05),but the differences between the two groups in ODI scores,VAS scores,PCS scores,MCS scores,and i EMG values were statistically significance(P<0.05).Conclusion: Suspension push-up exercise technique can effectively improve the dysfunction and pain of patients with chronic non-specific lower back pain,and can improve patients’ quality of life,improve their low back muscle fatigue and stimulate the activity of low back muscles. |
