| Objective: In recent years,the quality of life of cancer patients has received more and more attention.There is no clear treatment plan guidance for the treatment of cancer-related fatigue in modern medicine.The important role of traditional Chinese medicine in improving the quality of life of cancer-related fatigue patients has aroused widespread concern in the medical community.People are increasingly aware of the great advantages of traditional Chinese medicine in improving cancer-related fatigue.In this study,Guyuan was selected to protect the stomach.By observing its clinical treatment effect on patients with cancer-related fatigue of stage IV gastric cancer with deficiency of both qi and blood,we confirmed the effectiveness of Guyuan and stomach theory in the treatment of cancer-related fatigue,provided new ideas for the treatment of cancer-related fatigue of gastric cancer,and provided effective data support for traditional Chinese medicine to improve the symptoms of patients with cancer-related fatigue.Method: The study cases were selected as cancer-related fatigue patients with stage IV gastric cancer who were treated in the Affiliated Hospital of Shandong University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from December 2019 to December 2022,and who met the criteria of both qi and blood deficiency and pathological diagnosis.According to the inclusion criteria and exclusion criteria,a total of 60 cases were included.The enrolled patients were randomly divided into control group and treatment group,with 30 cases in each group.The control group was treated with ass hide glue and basic fluid replacement.The treatment group took Guyuan to protect the stomach on the same treatment plan as the control group,decocted with water,one dose a day,warm in the morning and evening,and evaluated the effect after 4 weeks of continuous treatment.Observe and record the changes of Piper Fatigue Survey Scale,Karnofsky functional status score,TCM syndrome score of deficiency of both qi and blood,laboratory hemoglobin level,albumin level and platelet level.In addition to recording the efficacy evaluation index of the patient,it is also necessary to record whether the patient has adverse reactions during the treatment.Results: A total of 60 cases were included in this study,including 30 cases in the control group and 30 cases in the treatment group.The age,sex,Piper fatigue survey scale score before treatment,Karnofsky functional state score,TCM syndrome score of deficiency of both qi and blood,hemoglobin level,albumin level and blood plate level of the two groups were compared,and there was no significant difference(P>0.05).The data of the two groups were comparable.After 4 weeks of treatment,both groups of treatment can improve the fatigue degree of patients,improve the KPS score,improve the physical function of patients,and relieve the symptoms of both qi and blood deficiency.Under the guidance of the theory of Guyuan protecting stomach,the treatment group that uses ass hide glue and Guyuan protecting stomach together has more significant effects on improving Piper’s fatigue score behavior,cognition,body parts,alleviating patients’ facial color,lazy talk,dizziness,sweating,palpitations,insomnia and other symptoms,and improving hemoglobin level and albumin level than the control group that only takes ass hide glue.The liver and kidney functions and ECG of the two groups were normal before and after treatment.During the study period,the patients did not have gastrointestinal reactions such as nausea,vomiting,abdominal pain and diarrhea.Conclusion: This study has proved that Guyuan protection of the stomach has great advantages in improving cancer-related fatigue of stage IV gastric cancer with deficiency of both qi and blood.It can not only improve the fatigue state of patients and treat the fatigue symptoms of patients,but also significantly improve the hemoglobin and albumin levels of patients,and improve the quality of life of patients.In this study,no adverse events occurred in patients,indicating that Guyuan is extremely safe to protect the stomach and will not add additional burden to patients physically and mentally.It can be widely used in clinic to relieve pain for more patients. |
