Objective:To investigate the safety and efficacy of the healthy side lying running position in the treatment of 1~2 cm upper urinary tract stones by ureteral chondroscopy. Methods:By strictly implementing the inclusion and exclusion criteria, the clinical data of 147 patients treated with ureteroscopic laser lithotripsy for upper urinary tract stones by ureteroscopy from October 1,2021 to November 31,2022 in the Department of Urology,Affiliated Central Hospital of Shandong First Medical University were retrospectively analyzed, with a total of 26 patients in the healthy-side lying running position group as the experimental group and a total of 121 patients in the traditional lithotripsy group as the A total of 121 patients were included in the control group. The clinical data, operative time,VAS score, postoperative stone removal rate and postoperative complications of the two groups were evaluated to compare the effectiveness and safety of the healthy lateral running position in the treatment of upper urinary tract stones with ureteroscopy. Results:The procedure was successfully completed in 147 patients in this study. There were no statistical differences between the two groups in terms of baseline data such as age, gender, stone size, stone location and preoperative nitrite positivity.Comparing the perioperative data:the operative time was shorter in the experimental group(78.89±30.88)min and in the control group(97.09±42.77)min,the results were statistically significant(p<0.05).There was no statistical difference between the two groups in terms of intraoperative bleeding, postoperative haemoglobin level, postoperative routine urine leucocyte level and length of hospital stay(P>0.05).The immediate postoperative stone clearance rate was 22(84.6%)cases in the experimental group and 78(64.5%)cases in the control group, and the stone clearance rate at 1 month was 23(88.5%)cases in the experimental group and 83(68.6%)cases in the control group, and the immediate postoperative stone clearance rate and the 1 month postoperative stone clearance rate were both higher in the experimental group than in the control group. There was no statistical difference between the two groups(P>0.05).Postoperative complications:2 patients(7.7%)in the experimental group and 6 patients(5.0%)in the control group developed fever after surgery,1 patient in the experimental group and 2 patients in the control group developed mild renal impairment after surgery, and 1 patient in the control group developed infectious shock after surgery, which were not statistically significant.Conclusion:1.The operative time and postoperative VAS score of the experimental group were better than those of the control group;2.The immediate postoperative stone clearance rate and the 1-month postoperative stone clearance rate of the experimental group were higher than those of the control group;3.There was no noticeable difference between the postoperative complications and the 3-month postoperative stone clearance rate between the two groups;4.The use of the healthy-side lying running position in transurethral retrograde ureteroscopic holmium laser lithotripsy was safe, effective and feasible for the treatment of upper urinary tract stones.
