| Purpose:Using dichoptic training system to explore the changes of cerebral visual function in amblyopic children by comparing the cerebral visual functions between amblyopia and normal individuals. Methods:Children aged from 6 to 13 years old in JSIEC from 2020 to 2022 were selected, including 43 patients with amblyopia(average age 8.44±2.19y,23 male and 20 female)and 49normal controls(average age 8.88±2.04y,25 male and 24 female). All participants underwent cyclopegic autorefraction, ocular biometry, fundus examination and stereoacuity test. The visual therapy system(VTS4)was used to evaluate the cerebral visual function of all participants. The examination contents included saccades and pursuit movements, eye position perception(PEF),accommodative flexibility(AF)and visual memory, and make a statistical analysis of the above results.Results:(1)Saccade and pursuit movement:the results of saccade and pursuit movement were statistically analyzed by reaction time and its accuracy. The reaction time and accuracy of saccade in the amblyopia group(1.59±0.48)and the control group(1.14±0.24)were 96.14±5.12%and 98.52±2.10%,respectively.There was difference between the two groups(P<0.001,P=0.004).Pursuit reaction time and accuracy:amblyopia group(1.56±0.45s,96.34±3.86%),control group(1.13±0.21s,98.92±1.36%),there was difference between the two groups(P<0.001,P<0.001).(2)The horizontal PEP bias angel(the deviation of horizontal PEP)were as follows:2.18±2.74△in amblyopia group, and 0.76±1.08△in control group. There was significant difference in PEP deviation between amblyopia group and control group(P<0.001).(3)The result of AF were respectively 3.82±2.28(cpm)in amblyopia group and 7.46±2.59(cpm)in control group. There was significant difference in AF between amblyopia group and control group(P=0.002).(4)Percentage of normal individuals among each group were calculated for analyze. The results of visual memory test were respectively 58.14%in amblyopia group, and 95.12%in control group.χ~2 test showed that amblyopia group had worse performance in visual memory than the control group(P<0.001).(5)Correlation analysis of stereoacuity and PEP:through Kendall’s Tau-b correlation analysis, which shows that there is a weak positive correlation between stereoacuity and PEP(P<0.001).Conclusion:1.Amblyopic children not only had poor vision acuity and stereoacuity, but also showed cerebral visual functions impairment, which was different from the control in saccade and pursuit movement, perceptual eye position, accommodation flexibility and visual memory.2.Dichoptic training therapy system can obtain quantitative indicators, which provides a simple method for clinical evaluation and monitoring of amblyopia training effect. |
