| Background: Iliotibial band syndrome(ITBS)is one of the most common overuse injuries in runners. It is also the most common lateral knee injury. At present, the main method of this disease is still mainly physical factor therapy, and the efficacy of muscle strength training of lower limbs is still controversial. Objective: To investigate the clinical effect of muscle strength training of lower limbs on iliotibial band friction syndrome(ITBS)and optimize the treatment plan. Methods: 60 ITBFS patients were randomly divided into control group and experimental group. After screening, these patients were randomly divided into control group, experimental group 1,experimental group 2,experimental group 3 with 15 patients in each group. The control group received conventional physical therapy(ultra-short wave microthermal therapy,Ultrasonic therapy, medium frequency pulse electrotherapy). The experimental groups 1,2 and 3 received conventional physical therapy +Side-lying leg lifting training.Clam.Crab walking with resistance band. The visual ana-logue scale(VAS)and Hospital for special surgery(HSS)scores of 2 groups were compared before and after treatment. Results:Before the treatment,There were no significant differences in VAS score and HSS score(P >0.05).After treatment,VAS score of the four groups was decreased,HSS score was increased, and the average VAS score of the experimental group was lower than the control group, the average HSS score was higher than the control group. The score difference between the experimental group and the control group was statistically significant(P <0.05),and after comparison, the experimental group I had a significant effect on strengthening the lower limb function of patients compared with the other three groups(P <0.05).Conclusion: The combination of Side-lying leg lifting training and physical factor therapy can achieve better efficacy in the treatment of ILIotibial band syndrome. |
