Objective More and more deaf children wear hearing aids early and hope to have a good hearing and speech rehabilitation,but the biggest confusion now is a considerable part of deaf children unable to access audiometric evaluation of residual hearing and hearing aid compensation effect with subjective behavioral audiometry,so this study intends to explore an objective electrophysiological test for the young deaf children who can’t coordinate the behavioral audiometry,to objectively evaluate residual hearing and hearing aid compensation effect,and have important significance in helping professionals to choose accurate rehabilitation strategy for deaf children.Methods 30 deaf children with hearing aids who can coordinate the behavioral audiometry were selected as the subjects.The Corona ERA system of "PB Evoselect" hearing equipment and "GSI Audiostar Pro" audiometer were used to test with the earphone and under sound field conditions.Record the objective frequency-specific Chirp ABR threshold and subjective behavioral threshold results,then use the software of SPSS 19.0 to do the difference and correlation analysis.Results ①For deaf children without wearing hearing aids,there’s no significant difference(P>0.05)between frequency-specific Chirp ABR threshold and audiometry threshold at 0.5,1,2 and 4kHz,the difference is less than 5 dB HL.②After wearing hearing aids,there’s significant difference(P<0.05)between frequency-specific Chirp ABR aided threshold and behavioral aided threshold,the difference is about 11~14 dB HL.Then analyze the relevance,correlation coefficient at 0.5,1,2 and 4kHz is respectively 0.85,0.84,0.81 and 0.76.The P value is<0.01,has statistical significance.③ The hearing aid gain obtained by frequency-specific Chirp ABR and behavioral audiometry for deaf children also has significant difference(P<0.05),while the correlation coefficient at 0.5,1,2 and 4kHz is respectively 0.79,0.78,0.44 and 0.62.The P value is<0.01,has statistical significance.Conclusion Firstly,frequency-specific Chirp ABR is accurate as behavioral audiometry to test the actual residual hearing level of deaf children,help to early diagnosis and intervention.Secondly,by using certain correction value,frequency-specific Chirp ABR can also reflect the compensation effect of hearing aids to objectively evaluate rehabilitation after wearing hearing aids.
