Pueraria has strong stress resistance, wide adaptability and high nutritional value. Its protein content is as high as 16%,which can be used as a high-quality forage grass. However, due to the humidity and heat in the south, green hay cannot be well preserved and prepared,so silage has become a good way to preserve green fodder in the south. However, kudzu has low carbohydrate content and high buffering power,so it is not easy to be modulated into silage. Therefore,it is necessary to explore the modulation method of kudzu silage. In this study, the modulation technology of high-quality kudzu silage was explored through the two-factor test of raw material moisture content and additive type. The corn silage was replaced by kudzu silage in 5 ratios of 0%,25%,50%,75%and 100%,and its degradation rate in the rumen was determined by the nylon bag method to find the appropriate replacement ratio of kudzu silage. The feeding value provides certain data reference. The main contents and results of the test are as follows:(1)Comparison of nutritional value of kudzu at flowering stage and fruit-bearing stage.Collect the kudzu in July and September to determine the conventional nutritional components, and conduct comparative analysis. The results showed that the nutritional level of kudzu at flowering stage was higher, with WSC(Water Soluable Carbohydrate)content of 5.6%,CP content of 17.6%,NDF content of 37.4%,and ADF content of 21.52%,which were similar to those of alfalfa.(2)Kudzu silage test.A completely randomized test was carried out on the raw materials of kudzu vine, the moisture content and the type of additives. The moisture content was divided into three groups:high, medium and low,and the additives were control(C),molasses(M),formic acid(F),and lactic acid bacteria(L).Four groups,A total of 12treatments were performed with 12 replicates each.According to the nutrient composition and fermentation quality of silage, the comprehensive nutritional value of each treatment group was evaluated by fuzzy membership function method, and the optimal treatment group was selected. The results showed that the water content of raw materials and additives had a significant impact on the nutritional value and fermentation quality of kudzu silage.Adding molasses could significantly increase the contents of CP and LA in the silage(P<0.05),and significantly reduce the contents of NDF and ADF(P<0.05).The contents of p H,NH3-N,AA(Acetic acid)and PA(Propionic acid)could be significantly reduced(P<0.05);the high water treatment had the highest LA content and the lowest NH3-N content, which was significantly different from the medium and low water treatments(P<0.05),while the medium water treatment had the highest LA content and the lowest NH3-N content. The AA and PA contents were significantly lower than those of the high-moisture and low-moisture treatments(P<0.05).In conclusion, the fermentation quality of the drying treatment did not show a better effect than the direct silage of the fresh kudzu. The nutritional value of the high water-formic acid group and the middle water-formic acid group was the highest in the comprehensive evaluation.(3)A study on the rumen degradation rate of kudzu silage in place of corn silage in different proportions. The mid-water formic acid group silage was replaced by 5 kinds of commercial corn silage, and the rumen degradation test was carried out on the silage by nylon bag method, and the degradation rate of DM,CP,NDF and ADF was determined. The results showed that the degradation rate of DM,NDF and ADF were the highest, and the degradation rate of CP was second only to the kudzu silage group with the highest degradation rate,it shows that the rumen degradation characteristics of kudzu silage replacing 25%corn silage are better. To sum up,the kudzu at flowering stage has excellent nutritional value;the silage quality of kudzu after reducing the moisture content of kudzu by drying cannot obtain better silage quality than the direct silage of fresh kudzu;adding formic acid can significantly improve the quality of kudzu silage, and its comprehensive effect is excellent. In addition, molasses and lactic acid bacteria were added;the high moisture-formic acid and middle moisture-formic acid treatment combinations had the highest comprehensive scores;Under the experimental conditions, kudzu silage replaced 25%corn silage, and its rumen degradation characteristics were better...
