Study On Application Of Small Grain Dual Purpose Genic Male Sterile Line Zhuo201S

Zhuo201S is a small grain dual-purpose genic male sterile rice which has been breeding by Hunan Xiwang Seeds Industry Co.Ltd,and it has been examined and ap-proved by Hainan Province variety examine and approve committee in 2016.Plant m-orphological characteristics,growth and development characteristics,outcrossing character istics,combining ability,correlation between grain type of F₁ and grain type of restorer line,and the light simplified seed production techniques were studied and discussed in the dissertation.The main results are as follows:1.Zhuo201S had good plant shape,the plant type was moderately tight and the stem was medium,plant height was 77.7cm,the length and width of the sword leaf was24.2cm,1.4cm,respectively,and the opening angle of the flag leaf was 7.6°.The average effective panicle number was 15,panicle length was 24.62cm,and grain number per panicle was 182.The grain length was 6.6mm and length to width ratio was 3.2,and the 1000-grain weight was 14g.The duration from seeding to heading was 78-84 days in Changsha,and leaf number on main stem was 11.6.Zhuo201S had high propagation coefficient,and the starting temperature of fertility was lower than 23.5.The rice appearance quality was good and taste was soft.It’s resistance fine,blast resistance level was 3,bacterial blight and rice false smut level were 5.2.Heading of Zhuo201S population was rapid and tidiness,and had an obvious tasseling peak of spike.The flowering stage had the characteristics of long duration and concentrated flowering,and the peak flowering was 4-5 days.The flowering time was early,peak flowering timewas at 9:00-10:30,and percentage of flowering before noon was more than 70%.Its stigma exsertion rate was 87.64%,double-stigma exsertion rate was 53.56%.The stigma vitality was strong,it had a little receptivity of stigma at 12 day after flowering.This showed that Zhuo201S had better outcrossing characteristics.3.Compared to the control,Zhuo201S had higher general combining ability in effective panicle,ear length,grains per spike and grain length to width ratio.And had lower general combining ability in other traits.Therefore,Zhuo201S could directed improvement general combining ability by crossbreeding with C815S.4.The correlation analysis between grain type of F₁ and grain type of restorer line showed that 1000-grain weight,grain length,grain width of F₁ was positive correlation to the restorer line.Owing to 1000-grain weight of 201S was small,it was easier to breed hybrid rice combination which had high quality and suitable for mechanized seed production,by crossing with large grain and good affinity restorer line.5.The actual yield of“male parent throwing seedlings,female direct seeding"light simplification seed production and"parental mixed planting"light simplification seed production was 300.0kg/667m² and 292.3kg/667m²,respectively.The hybrid seeds and paternal seeds were mechanically sorted,and the purity of hybrid seeds was over 98%,which met the requirements of production.This showed that the combination of Zhuo201S could realize light simplification seed production and reduced seed production cost effectively.
