Influenced by the concept of healthy life, the share of beef and other high-protein and low-fat meat in residents’ diet has increased significantly in recent years, and the per capital beef consumption in China is expected to continue to grow in the future.Hebei province has rich forage resources, and regional advantage is relatively superior,is one of the important provinces of beef production, and belonging to the dam region of farming crisscross zone is the main beef cattle breeding base in northern Hebei province, with the scale of beef cattle farmers breeding behavior is directly related to the beef cattle breeding benefit, breeding scale and breeding time, etc. Therefore,it is of great significance to deeply explore the main factors for the beef cattle farmers to choose the current breeding scale for the beef cattle farmers to seek the optimal breeding scale and improve the breeding efficiency and breeding income. In this paper, the field survey of agricultural staggered beef cattle farmers,123 research data on the scale behavior of beef cattle farmers, the first analysis of the present situation, find out the current problems of the beef cattle breeding,on the basis of Chengde city royal crossing ranch beef cattle farmers breeding scale behavior descriptive statistical analysis, explore the influence of Hebei agriculture and animal husbandry staggered beef cattle farmers choose the main factors of the current breeding scale. Finally, the multiple regression model was used to analyze the influencing factors of individual characteristics, family characteristics, family characteristics of farmers, breeding characteristics, and external characteristics. The results show that: first,in the influence of farmers’ own factors on the decision-making behavior of beef cattle breeding scale, the breeding life(P=0.026 <0.05)has a significant positive impact on the selection of beef cattle breeding scale.Second,in the influence of household factors on the decision-making behavior of household beef cattle scale breeding, the number of household labor force(P=0.002 <0.01),the number of household employed labor force(P=0.000 <0.01),and the area of operating cultivated land and grassland(P=0.017 <0.05)are the significant factors affecting the decision-making behavior of farmers’ beef cattle breeding scale.Among them, the number of family labor force and the number of family employed labor force are the most significant influencing factors.Third,in the influence of farmer breeding factors on the scale decision-making behavior, whether farmers have professional breeding equipment(P=0.028 <0.05)has a significant positive impact on the scale decision of farmer beef cattle.Fourth,in the behavioral influence of farmers’ external factors on the decision of beef cattle breeding scale, whether loans(P=0.027 <0.05),enclosure subsidy(P=0.005 <0.01),epidemic prevention subsidy(P=0.072 <0.1)and technical training(P=0.008<0.01)had a significant positive impact on the breeding scale of farmers.Among them, the epidemic prevention subsidy is the most significant influence factor. In view of the above results, this paper proposes the following suggestions: first,to emphasize the improvement of farmers to promote the sustainable development of breeding.second,to increase the input of labor force and attract professional breeding talents.third,to improve the quality of financial services;fourth,to promote the utilization of forage resources and reasonably reduce the feeding cost.fifth,to strengthen the application of modern science and technology equipment and improve the production efficiency.sixth,to implement the precise subsidy policy for breeding and establish the disease prevention and control system.
