Objectives: At present, the meat sheep breeding mode in Xinjiang is still mainly based on free-range breeding, and the intensive breeding mode presents regional local development.Intensive meat sheep farming is a powerful carrier to promote rural revitalization,an effective way to establish circular agriculture, and an inevitable choice for the future development of animal husbandry.Taking Xinjiang Tumushuke Anxin Shepherding Hu Sheep Intensive Farm as the object of analysis,we collected data through field research, conducted cost-benefit analysis, studied the composition of production factors of Hu Sheep Intensive Farming, determined the main influencing factors, and provided reference for Xinjiang Meat Sheep Intensive Farming. Methods: 1.Based on literature and field research, combined with data analysis, the development of intensive breeding mode of mutton sheep was expounded.2.Based on the cost-benefit theory and comparative advantage theory, this study analyzes the cost-benefit of intensive farming of Hu sheep in South Xinjiang region, investigates the impact of the main influencing factors on the efficiency in the field, and puts forward feasible suggestions for the future development of intensive farming of Hu sheep in South Xinjiang region, taking into account the actual needs of the region.Results:1.The number of lambs produced by ewes determines whether the sheep farming industry adopts a free-range grazing model or an intensive farming model.Single lambs are suitable for grazing;multiple lambs are suitable for intensification.2.After analyzing three years of production and operation data of the intensive sheep farm of Xinjiang Tumushuk Anxin, the cost-benefit analysis concluded that forage cost is the main cost that constitutes the operation of the intensive sheep farm, accounting for 87.25%,81.47% and 78.32% of the direct costs in the production cost each year, respectively. Therefore, the problem of forage supply must be solved for intensive meat sheep farming. If the forage supply problem is not solved,it will inevitably turn the problem of developing sheep farming into the problem of collecting grass and planting grass. The limitation of water resources in Xinjiang coupled with the rapid development of animal husbandry has led to a shortage of forage resources in many places. In order to meet the forage supply and effectively control the production cost, intensive sheep farms are forced to lower the forage procurement standard due to the market supply pressure,in which the mixed three types of plastic products, agricultural drip irrigation tape, agricultural land film and plastic bundling rope enter the forage processing link, which is harmful to sheep and directly affects the farm efficiency. The current measure is to implement a graded sorting and plastic removal system, but the system cannot completely solve the forage supply problem.Forage supply directly affects the sustainable development of intensive sheep farms, and the construction of intensive sheep farms must solve forage supply problems. Conclusion: In terms of industrial layout, the development of intensive meat sheep farming in the southern Xinjiang region should be based on the actual local situation, especially forage resources, and the scale and distribution of intensive meat sheep farming should be reasonably designed. In the government’s formulation of industrial development, intensive meat sheep farms should be built in areas suitable for forage cultivation and with good forage cultivation benefits. The construction of intensive meat sheep farms must break the traditional concept of facilities to meet modern requirements, breed multi-lamb ewes and secure adequate local forage supply.Perfect equipment,multi-lamb genetic quality and sufficient quality forage supply are the prerequisites for developing intensive meat sheep farming in order to ensure that the farm survives and develops in the fierce market competition. |
