Objective: Garden plants are an important part of urban green space ecosystem.Under the background of new town construction,scientifically planning garden plants and constructing reasonable plant communities will play a positive role in promoting the construction of urban ecological civilization and have great significance for urban sustainable development.Methods: In this thesis,the newly-built city of the green space of Cocodala in arid area was taken as the research object,and the species of garden plants in Cocodala were investigated by field exploration and the composition characteristics of garden plants were analyzed in detail.The diversity of garden plants was investigated and analyzed by typical sampling method(or transect method),and the adaptability of garden plants under artificial maintenance management was evaluated and discussed based on AHP.The purpose of this thesis is to clarify the species and composition characteristics of garden plants in Cocodala city,and to explore the diversity and adaptability characteristics of green plants in Cocodala city,a new city in arid areas under human-led construction,so as to put forward the planning strategy of green plants in Cocodala city and provide a model for the construction and renewal of urban green space in arid areas.The results are as follows:(1)There are 199 species of garden plants in Cocodala,belonging to 51 families and 99 genera.Most of them originated from temperate climate zones such as northwest,northeast and northern North China,among which 35 species of trees have the application of transplanting big trees.Ornamental plants such as flowers,fruits and leaves account for a large proportion,accounting for more than 1/4 of the garden plants in the city.There are 64 species of allergic plants,mainly Salicaceae,Ulmaceae,Pinaceae,Cupressaceae and other trees,which have a high risk of sensitization in April and May.(2)The community structure of garden plants in 114 sample plots is similar and multi-layered,among which 97 sample plots have the application of transplanting big trees.On the whole,the species richness and diversity of the green space in Cocodala city are relatively large in arbor layer,and the species distribution uniformity of various types of green space is similar.The species richness and diversity of garden plants among different types of green space and within the same type of green space all show the characteristics of urban core green space,urban important green space and urban general green space decreasing in turn.In addition,the species composition of garden plants in different types of green space is different,especially in parks,roads and other green spaces.(3)Under the routine artificial maintenance management,the results of adaptability evaluation of garden plants show that 89 kinds of garden trees(trees with DBH less than < 15cm)have good comprehensive adaptability,while 7 kinds of garden trees are relatively poor;15 kinds of trees(trees with DBH ≥15cm)have good comprehensive adaptability,while 21 kinds of trees are relatively poor;All shrubs and herbs showed good adaptability.On the geographical scale,there is no significant difference in the comprehensive adaptability of garden tree species with different geographical origins,but the ecological adaptability of native tree species is significantly stronger;There is no significant difference in adaptability between shrubs and herbs with different geographical origins.The adaptability of temperate tree species is significantly higher than that of subtropical tree species at the scale of climate zone.Climate has certain influence on the growth characteristics,ecological adaptability,ecological and economic value of garden tree species,but has little influence on landscape value.There is no significant difference in adaptability between shrubs and herbs originating from different climatic zones.To sum up,the overall adaptability of garden plants in Cocodala City is good under artificial maintenance management,but the improvement of ecological adaptability of garden plants by artificial maintenance management is limited,especially for trees.In addition,there is evidence that garden plants originating from temperate climate zones have great adaptability in Cocodala.Conclusion: The analysis shows that the temperate garden plants are the main species in Cocodala,and the level of garden plant diversity construction is high and the overall adaptability is good,but the species of native plants are few and the frequency of application is low.The reason is that due to the influence of climate and environment,the species of plants originating in arid areas are few and the landscape effect is relatively poor.To sum up,the author thinks that it is necessary to establish a long-term research mechanism for green space construction and garden plant planning in Cocodala,focusing on the consistency between garden plants and climate,and suggests that the application of native plants should be strengthened to build an eco-city by building a nearly natural plant community.
