| Rapeseed is an important oil crop in China as well as in the world.The planting area and seed yield in China accounted one third,and ranked the second among all the counties.China is also the world’s largest producer and consumer of wheat,and the production of wheat plays important roles in food security in China.Zhi Neng Cong(ZNC)is plant immune inducer produced by Shandong Pengbo Biotechnology Co.,LTD,as the ethanol crude extract of Paecilomyces variotii.Previous studies have shown that it had functions in promoting plant growth and disease resistance.In this study,solution culture experiments,pot culture experiments and field trials were employed to study the effects of application rate and time of ZNC on the the seed germination,plant growth and nutrients uptake of rapeseed and wheat,and provided the optimal application rate,key growth stages and agronomic indexes.The main results are as follows:(1)Effects of ZNC on seed germination,seed yield and mineral nutrients uptake in rapeseedThere were not significant difference in the seeds germinatin rate of rapeseed among all the four ZNC treatments.However,with the increasing of ZNC concentrations(0,100,500 and 1000 μg/L),the shoot fresh weight,root fresh weight,shoot dry weight,root dry weight,root length and shoot length of rapeseed all increased firstly and then decreased.Rapeseed had the largest growth parameters at ZNC 100 μg/L.Solution culture experiments also showed that rapeseed had the largest shoot fresh weight,root fresh weight,shoot dry weight and root dry weight at ZNC 100 μg/L.Pot culture experiment showed that the shoot biomass at the seedling stage and the seed yield were the largest at the treatment of ZNC15 μg/L at the seedling stage.As compared with the control(ZNC 0 μg/L),N,Fe,B and Mo concentration in shoots,Mg,Fe and Zn concentration in roots and Mo concentration in seeds,N,P,K,Mn,Cu,Zn,Mo,Ni and Co conctent in shoots;and N,P,K,Mg,S,Cu,Zn and B conctent in roots,and N,P,K,Ca,Mg,S,Fe,Mn,Cu,Zn,B,Mo and Ni conctent in seeds increased significantly at the treatment of ZNC 15 μg/L at seedling stage.Field experiments showed that the effect of ZNC on seed yield of rapeseed were better at the treatment of ZNC(20 μg/L)applying at both seedling stage and bolting stage than the treatment of ZNC(20 μg/L)applying only at the seedling stage or at the bolting stage.(2)Effects of ZNC on seed germination,grain yield and mineral nutrients uptake of wheatThe effect of ZNC on the germination rate of wheat seeds depended on the ZNC concentrations;and the germination rate was the highest at ZNC 100 μg/L.With the increasing of ZNC concentrations(0,100,500 and 1000 μg/L),the shoot fresh weight,root fresh weight,shoot dry weight,root dry weight,root length,shoot length and root number of wheat all increased firstly and then decreased.When ZNC concentration was 100 μg/L,wheat had the largest growth parameters.Solution culture experiments also showed that wheat had the largest shoot fresh weight,root fresh weight,shoot dry weight and root dry weight at ZNC 100 μg/L.Pot culture experiments showed that the shoot and root biomass of wheat were the largest at ZNC 5 μg/L at the seedling stage.There were no significant differences in plant height and shoot dry weight of wheat among ZNC treatments at different concentrations and growth stages,but the shoot dry weight of wheat were the largest at the treatment of ZNC 10 μg/L applied at the tillering stage.As compared with the control(ZNC 0 μg/L),N,P,Fe,B and Zn concentrations in the seed increased significantly at the treatment of ZNC 10 μg/L applied at the tillering stage.Field trials showed that application of ZNC 20 μg/L at the seedling stage and the tillering stage had no effect on grain yield of wheat,respectively;but application of ZNC 20 μg/L both at the seedling stage and the tillering stage decreased the grain yield of wheat. |
