Since the 20th century, the impact of land use on climate change has attracted extensive attention of many scholars and become a hot topic of global scientific research.Forest land,as an important part of land use, plays an important role in the carbon cycle of terrestrial ecosystem.Severe land use change has an important impact on regional vegetation carbon storage and its spatial-temporal pattern. It is of great theoretical significance to study the characteristics of forest vegetation carbon storage and reveal the impact of land use change on regional forest vegetation carbon storage,to provide theoretical basis for regional carbon cycle research,to effectively improve the carbon sink function of terrestrial ecosystem, and to better achieve the goal of"dual carbon".In this paper, hubei Province was taken as a case study, the relative growth method was used to measure the forest vegetation biomass, and the remote sensing method was used to invert the forest vegetation biomass and carbon storage in Hubei Province.Land use transfer matrix was used to analyze the characteristics of land use change in Hubei province from2000 to 2020,and to discuss the impact of land use change on forest vegetation carbon storage in Hubei Province. The main conclusions are as follows:(1)Establishing the biomass-remote sensing regression model of arbor forest vegetation(Q bio=24.942×NDVI-1.0574).The overall accuracy of the model is 87.67%.In2000 and 2020,the carbon storage of arbor forest was 238.71 Tg and 392.81 Tg,and that of shrubby forest was 21.17 Tg and 21.73 Tg,respectively. The total carbon storage of forestland vegetation in Hubei province in 2000 and 2020 was 259.88 Tg and 414.55 Tg,respectively. The areas with high carbon storage are mainly distributed in Shennongjia,Enshi,Yichang and the eastern boundary of Hubei Province.(2)The change of land use in Hubei province was severe from 2000 to 2020,and the cultivated land area decreased the most, about 5699.43 km2.Construction land and forest land increased the most, with an increase of 3170.54 km2 and 1799.46 km2 respectively. The forestland area transfer matrix showed that the forestland area was 2629.10 km2,of which 95.87%was converted from arable land.A total of 829.64 km2 of forest land was transferred out,of which 21.48%and 71.7%were transferred out to water area and construction land respectively.(3)Land use change significantly affected the change of forest vegetation carbon storage in Hubei Province. The increased value of forest vegetation carbon storage caused by conversion from other land types to forest land was 10.24 Tg,of which cultivated land contributed 95.73%.The reduction value of forest vegetation carbon storage caused by transferring forest land to other land use types was 2.18 Tg,and 72.30%of forest land was transferred to construction land. Finally, the net increment of carbon storage of forest vegetation caused by transfer of forest land was 8.07 Tg.In addition, the amount of carbon fixed by photosynthesis increased by 146.60 Tg during the 20 years in the same area.(4)From the perspective of the effects of transferring from single tree and shrub land to other land use types on forest vegetation carbon storage, the net increase of forest vegetation carbon storage caused by the transfer of forest and other land use types was 7.66Tg,and the increase of forest vegetation carbon storage in the unchanged area was 146.44Tg.The net increase of carbon storage in shrubby vegetation caused by the transfer of shrubby and other land use types was 0.57 Tg.
