The waterfront plant landscape is located in the blend zone of land and water.The waterfront plant landscape is the most important element in the construction of waterfront landscape.The waterfront plants are applied to create a pleasant waterfront environment in a scientific and rational way.The beauty of water space is very important,and the high-quality waterfront landscape of universities is very important for improving the environment of universities.This study investigated the current plant applications of waterfront landscape space in4 universities(South China Agricultural University,South China University of Technology,South China Normal University,Jinan University)in Tianhe District of Guangzhou City,using the analytic hierarchy process method to establish a model of landscape evaluation basaed on the waterfront plants in universities,on this basis,summarizes the problems in the current application and proposes a practical optimization strategy.The scenic beauty estimation method is used to evaluate the landscape quality of independent landscape units,and summarize the better waterfront plant configuration and suitable model for universities,which will provide a certain reference for the future construction of universities’ landscape quality waterfront plant improvement.Through the investigation about the waterfront plants of 13 lakes in 4 universities in Tianhe District of Guangzhou City,using the yaahp V10.0 and SPSS to carry out the multivariate analysis,the main research results were as follows:(1)In the Tianhe district of South China University of Technology,there are a total of99 species of 86 genera and 48 families in the waterfront plants,the number of fern is 1family,1 genus and 1 species,the number of gymnosperms is 3 families,10 genera and 10 species,and the number of angiosperms is 44 families and 75 genera 88 species;In the Tianhe district of South China Normal University,there are a total of 38 families,77 genera and 93 species of waterfront plants,the number of fern is 1 family,1 genera and 1 species,the number of gymnosperms are 4 families,13 genera and 13 species,and the number of angiosperms are 33 families,63 genera and 79 species;In the Tianhe district of Jinan University,There are 48 families,89 genera and 106 species of water plants,the number of fern is 1 family,1 genus,1 species,the number of gymnosperms are 6 families,12 genera and 12 species,and the number of angiosperms are 41 families,76 genera and 93 species;In the Wushan district of South China Agricultural University,there are 163 species of 124 genera and 62 families of waterfront plants,the number of ferns are 4 species of 3 families and 3 genera,the number of gymnosperms are 16 species of 15 genera and 5 families,and the number of angiosperm are 144 species of 106 genera and 54 families.(2)Summarize 10 relatively independent evaluation factors that affect the landscape quality of waterfront plants in the universities,using the analytic hierarchy process to build a model and calculate the weight of evaluation factors,and the rank of the three factors in the middle layer were as follows:plants landscape appreciation(0.5813)>plant composition diversity(0.3092)> landscape functionality(0.1096);The ranking of the total weight in the evaluation factors at criterion level from high to low is: plant growth potential(0.1882),plant landscape color and seasonal changes(0.1730),plant hierarchy richness(0.1536),plant life structure diversity(0.1516),plant species native(0.0964),recreational(0.0666),plant landscape viewing Characteristic diversity(0.0664),plant species diversity(0.0611),plant science and education(0.0298),campus cultural expression(0.0131).(3)The comprehensive evaluation of the 13 landscape lakes’ current status.There are five lakes’ waterfront plants’ landscape in a excellent quality,including West Lake in Huagong,Lover Lake in Huashi,Ming Lake in Ji Da,North Lake in Ji Da,and Wetland Park in Huanong,whose is Grade I.There are four lakes’ waterfront plants’ landscape in a good quality,including North Lake in Huagong,Hongze Lake in Huanong,Ningyin Lake in Huanong and Zhaoyang Lake in Huanong,whose is Grade II;There are four lakes’ waterfront plants’ landscape in a normal quality,including East Lake in Huagong,South Lake in Huagong,Aquatic base in Huashi,West Lake in Huanong,whose is grade Ⅲ.(4)The waterfront plant configuration of the universities in the Tianhe district of Guangzhou is classified into 9 categories,mainly including tree + shrub,tree + shrub +herb configuration mode,supplemented by single tree,mixed tree,tree + herb configuration mode,and the aquatic plants are not commonly used.According to the combination of water and waterfront plants,35 landscape units are divided into inter-shore plant landscape,waterfront plant landscape,and aquatic plant landscape.According to the calculated SBE standardized value,summarize the 15 configurations with better waterfront plant landscape effect in the universities.
