A variety of endophytes are promoting to host plants growth and accumulation of secondary metabolites. In recent years, several purified endophytic strains which can produce diosgenin has been separated and purified from Dioscorea zingiberensis C.H.Wrigh,After years of research found that in addition to the ability to have the capacity SYt1 diosgenin also has some antibacterial activity, the study in relationships between SYt1 with host plant is urgently needed. In this study, six kinds of infection methods such as smearing、soaking、root-drenching in fast growing period and swelling period, and foliage spray were used, different concentrations of the Bacillus licheniformis SYt1 were tied back to the host plants.Plant height of different periods、chlorophyll content of fast growing period of Dioscorea zingiberensis C.H.Wright has been determined.A test species for harvest roots were done.Diosgenin content in harvested roots has been extraction and determination. The results are as follows:(1)The Bacillus licheniformis Syt1 have a certain influence on the growth of stems of Dioscorea zingiberensis Wright, chlorophyll content,The Bacillus licheniformis SYt1 is harmless to beneficial in dioscorea zingiberensis.(2)The Bacillus licheniformis Syt1 have a certain influence on root fresh weight, index of weight gain, reduceing plant diseases and insect pests as well as content of diosgenin in dried rhizomes.Different combinations of infection and bacterial suspension concentration have different levels of influence on different indicators although, all show positive correlation.(3)The Bacillus licheniformis SYt1 have little impact on water content and diameter of roots as well as bud head and fibrous root, but doesn’t not meet the significance level.(4)Rhizome are infected by 108 cells/mL bacteria suspension at planting time, content of diosgenin in the harvested rhizomes have a very significantly increased than the control group, there are also significant differences with the later infection treatment.(5)The Bacillus licheniformis Syt1 have some biotransformation on some precursors of Diosgenin that transformed something into saponin substances, thus increasing diosgenin content of Dioscorea zingiberensis. |
