| Camellia reticulata Lindl is the evergreen silvae of Theaceae and Camellia,which is also known as the ’Yunnan Camellia’,’big Camellia’ and is endemic to China,and famous for the the second-ranking protection category and the city flower of Kunming.The leaf morphology of Camellia reticulata Lindl was studied in this paper.In the first place,the Camellia reticulata leaves with eight quantitative traits were analyzed with R cluster by SPSS 19.0 software,and found that the other quantitative traits showed less relevant in addition to ’leaf area’,’perimeter’ and’length of leaf’ showed some correlation.Each trait has an independent significance for the evolution of different breeds.Depending on the quantitative traits of leaf morphology,68 kinds of camellia were analyzed with Q-type cluster,which can be divided into four groups,and the leaf area occupied the dominant factor.Secondly,the garden applicability was evaluated for the Camellia reticulata by a study of the enjoyment,resistance,propagating methods and the stability of floral leaf,microscopic morphology,pigment content of mosaic Camellia reticulata.The results showed that mosaic Camellia reticulata has high ornamental value compared with green leaves Camellia reticulata;The most of mosaic Camellia reticulata had normal growth and development just like other plants to the sensitivity and general frost,drought and other pathogens;The best rooting conditions for the mosaic Camellia reticulata was soaked 4h with the NAA with concentration of 30 mg/l,and the mixed ratio of sand matrix,perlite,peat with same amount.The mosaic of Camellia reticulate has high stability;The chloroplast in mosaic was degraded,and the pigment content was significantly decreased.The mosaic Camellia reticulata has a high applicability in landscape architecture.Finally,the biological safety of the mosaic Camellia reticulata was evaluated.Based on the negative staining and molecular biology methods,this paper explored the virus species that infecting mosaic Camellia reticulata,and presumed as Luteoviridae.The formation of mosaic Camellia reticulata was due to virus infection which proved by infection tests,but rice,corn,soybeans,cabbage and other major crops are not mosaic virus host.It is visible for the higher biosafety of mosaic Camellia reticulata. |
