Expressway is the key construction object in the field of transportation and an indispensable part of the strategy of transportation power. With the proposal of the concept of " carbon peaking and carbon neutrality",the problem of carbon emission caused by the growing traffic demand is gradually paid attention to.Relevant studies show that variable speed limit control method has outstanding advantages to solve the problems existing in the expressway. This method can not only effectively ensure the safety and efficiency of the expressway, but also effectively control the carbon emission of vehicles. However,at present, our research on the variable speed limit control of expressway still stays in the single-objective optimization level with traffic efficiency as the goal, and the multi-objective problem research is less and more rare, and the consideration of carbon emissions. In view of the above problems,on the basis of the introduction and summary of the research background and status quo of variable speed limit control on expressway, the multiobjective optimization problem of vehicle carbon emissions, traffic flow and travel time and other control objectives is deeply studied in this paper. Therefore, the research content of this paper generally includes the following aspects:(1)This paper introduces the principle of expressway speed change control, and analyzes the influence mechanism of speed change control on driving speed, traffic delay and traffic flow chart;the influencing factors of carbon emissions are summarized from three levels, and on this basis, the influence of expressway speed limit on vehicle carbon emissions is analyzed.(2)From the aspects of traffic efficiency and environmental benefit, the multi-objective optimization of variable speed limit control on expressways was studied.Combined with the specific characteristics of variable speed limit control on expressways,a multi-objective optimization model including carbon emission optimization function, traffic flow optimization function, travel time optimization function and constraint conditions was constructed;then, through the analysis of related algorithms, the advantages and feasibility of using genetic algorithm to solve the model are clarified, and the solving process is defined.(3)The selected expressway section is taken as the research object, model parameters are calibrated with actual data, and optimization results are obtained after solving the model through MATLAB program. The effective feasibility of the model is verified by comparing carbon emissions before and after optimization. The multi-objective optimization of variable speed limit control on expressways in this paper can achieve effective coordination of control objectives such as carbon emission, traffic flow and travel time, and is a beneficial discussion on intelligent control of expressways. The research results provide management and control ideas for expressway operation management, and provide theoretical and technical support for the development of expressway efficiency, safety and environmental protection. |
