| With the booming development of information technology and the deepening of the informationization process,the amount of data generated globally every year has increased exponentially,and the scale of data centers is also expanding,and their energy consumption is also rising.The problem of energy consumption in data centers is becoming increasingly serious,and it has become a focus of attention and research in the industry to reduce energy consumption as much as possible,especially the energy consumption of cooling systems,while ensuring the normal operation of IT equipment in a suitable temperature and humidity environment,so as to realize the green development of data centers.In this paper,a combination of numerical simulation and experimental testing is used to explore air conditioning system control strategies suitable for data center temperature and humidity environments and for reducing energy consumption,as follows:(1)Using CFD software to establish a numerical model of the data center room based on the actual dimensions,set the boundary conditions and relevant parameters with the operating conditions of the data center,and solve to obtain the temperature and humidity field distributions inside the data center.The analysis finds that the temperature in the heat path of the room gradually increases and the relative humidity gradually decreases as the height increases.(2)To compare and analyze the temperature and humidity distribution in the server room under different air supply speed,temperature and humidity,to obtain the influence law of air supply parameters on the temperature and humidity environment of the server room,and to investigate the temperature and humidity control strategy of the server room.Based on the actual load of the server room,it is found that setting the air conditioning fan speed to 50%,appropriately increasing the air supply temperature,and reasonably setting the air supply relative humidity based on the outdoor humidity and moisture content of the air supply can achieve the reduction of data center energy consumption under the condition of ensuring the normal operation of servers in the server room.(3)By measuring the actual operation data of the data center and comparing and analyzing the simulated data,it is found that the calculated results are in good conformity with the experimental results and can reflect the temperature and humidity environment condition of the data center more realistically,which proves the reliability of the calculated model.(4)According to the actual climatic conditions of a place,the study analyzes the cooling mode of data center using natural cooling source under different outdoor wet bulb temperature,and calculates and analyzes that the available hours of natural cooling source of data center is 195 days in a year,and the PUE of data center can be reduced to 1.221 by using natural cooling source,which provides a basis for data center to reduce energy consumption by using natural cooling source.The common humidification and dehumidification methods of data centers are also analyzed,and it is found that the humidity control methods of wet film humidification and rotor dehumidification are more beneficial to data center energy saving. |
