| With the promulgation of the important documents such as the Outline of Building China with Strong Transportation Network and the National 14 th Five-Year Development Plan,the construction of China’s highway network has accelerated and the construction of the integrated transportation system has entered a critical period.The road passenger station is the key node of the transportation network and the center of urban traffic activities.It has a closer relationship with the cities and people,and its development is facing a new situation.First,the changes in population,economy,urban form and layout caused by the urbanization have triggered new traffic needs,and the urbanization has shifted to a new stage of comprehensive quality improvement.Second,the proportion of passenger transportation undertaken by road,rail and public transport is constantly changing.Third,advances in technologies related to smart transportation are affecting the efficiency of transportation,the construction of infrastructure and people’s travel habits.Finally,changes in economic level and technology provided people with high-quality transportation and diverse travel services that have changed the way people travel.Based on the background of sustainable urban development and the integrated transportation system construction,this study focuses on the future development of road passenger station architecture under the new situation by means of literature case study,field investigation and multidisciplinary intersection research.(1)The relevant research concepts and the research status of domestic and foreign transportation architecture were reviewed.Combining with the history and reality of China’s road passenger stations,the development patterns and design characteristics of passenger transportation architecture in different countries were compared.This provided a foundation for subsequent research.(2)Take the road passenger stations in Qingdao as an example,the development motives and development trend of the road passenger station were explored.This part analyzed the current situation of the planning,layout and architecture of the road passenger stations from the macro,meso and micro levels.By comparing the adaptability with the requirements of the new situation,the existing problems and successful experiences of the road passenger station were summarized,and then the specific factors promoting its development were concluded.Finally,this part deduced the development trend of the road passenger station is hub oriented,integrated and comprehensive under the new situation.(3)Combined with the prediction of the development trend of road passenger station under the new situation,the design strategies for the transformation of road passenger station into passenger transportation hub are proposed.The design follows the concept of sustainable and people-oriented,and followes the design principles of coordinating the urban environment,adding urban attributes to the hub,integrating transportation interchange and multi-service.The functional structure relationship should realize three aspects: organic integration of traffic organization,intensive three-dimensional spatial organization,and agglomeration compound of functional composition.Finally,the architectural forms of the the hubbing transformation of existing road passenger station and the architectural forms of passenger transportation hub are envisioned.The road passenger station is facing a complex new situation.Exploring the development trend and design strategies of road passenger station has both theoretical and practical significance to promote its transformation.This study proposes a scientific development model in terms of urban development,transportation integration and space utilization,so as to provide some reference for the renovation of road passenger stations and the construction of new passenger transportation hubs,and finally meet the comprehensive needs of integrated transportation construction and sustainable urban development. |
