A Research On The Design Representation Of Architectural Axonometric Drawing From A Graphical Perspective

From ancient times to the present day,axonometric drawings have been an effective method of expressing three-dimensional space through a two-dimensional medium.Its evolutionary context is clear and conforms to the development of the times,displaying certain characteristics of the era.Today,due to its simplicity in rendering,ease of comprehension,and accurate information,it is widely used in various aspects of people’s lives and production.The theoretical and practical knowledge covers multiple fields,such as architectural design,industrial design,and artistic illustration.Among them,the expression of architectural axonometric drawings is a necessary link in the architectural design process,serving as an important tool and medium for architectural designers to refine their designs and communicate with others.However,from a historical perspective,architectural axonometric drawings have largely been incorporated into the engineering graphics system,with research focus mostly related to drafting,and lacking in research on the inherent logic of axonometric drawings applied in the field of architectural design.Graphics is the most fundamental perspective for studying architectural axonometric drawings.The introduction of graphic theory will compensate for the limitations of past studies,help improve people’s understanding and comprehension of architectural axonometric drawings,avoid problems of indiscriminate application in practical use,and correctly demonstrate the scientific value of architectural axonometric drawings.The present article focuses on the study of architectural axonometric drawings from the perspective of "graphology." Firstly,the relevant concepts and characteristics of "graphology" and "architectural axonometric drawings" are interpreted,and the essential elements(elements),expressive forms(form),carrying significance(meaning),and application fields(use)of graphology research are extracted.The meaning of architectural axonometric drawings from the perspective of graphology is clarified to provide ideas for further research.Secondly,the historical development of architectural axonometric drawings is outlined,and the rationale for axonometric drawing expression is compared with that of ancient Chinese parallel and perspective drawings.Furthermore,in the current era,by studying classic case studies of architectural axonometric drawing applications and analyzing the various elements of composition,form,profound meaning,and application situations expressed in architectural axonometric drawings from the perspectives of"source,""shape,""meaning,"and"use,"we can clarify the scientific value of applying architectural axonometric drawings in the field of architecture and provide a practical reference for the correct and reasonable application of axonometric drawings in architecture.
