Traction power supply system is the power source of railway transportation,and relay protection is the key to secure and reliable power supply of traction power supply system.Because of the difference of system structure,power supply mode and running state,the configuration and setting scheme of relay protection of traction power supply system are very different.According to the operation principle of traction power supply system and relay protection setting principle,it is very important to clarify relay protection configuration scheme and setting calculation scheme under different operating conditions.At the same time,taking a traction substation as an example,the relay protection scheme design and simulation verification can reflect the application value of the scheme design.This thesis firstly analyzes the principle of traction power supply system and relay protection,and designs the protection configuration scheme of traction power supply system by comparing the configuration principles of relay protection under different operation modes and different power supply modes.Combined with the corresponding relay protection setting principle,the main transformer protection and feeder protection are respectively set calculation and sensitivity verification scheme design.The protection configuration and setting calculation of a traction substation and subdistrict substation under different operation modes are emphatically carried out.As the most basic power supply mode of general speed railway traction power supply system,the direct supply belt backflow power supply mode has higher flexibility and more representative protection configuration and setting.Therefore,the corresponding power supply mode is selected to carry out relay protection configuration and setting scheme design.And for the feeder protection of the main protection scheme comparison,determine the best scheme.According to the actual data and drawings in the field,a simulation model is built by using MATLAB/Simulink software.By simulating the short circuit faults in different positions of the line,the reliability of the relay protection scheme for the faults on the power supply arm is verified.The relay protection tester is used to test the device in the field,and it is verified that the corresponding protection functions can be realized by the various protection configurations in the simulation of various fault states.The correctness and practicability of relay protection scheme are proved.
