Urban trunk roads are often the lifeline of the city traffic,the actual capacity of the trunk road can reflect the city’s traffic flow.By regulating and controlling the signal control system of main roads and important intersections,the traffic efficiency of urban roads can be effectively improved and the intersection delay reduced.Based on this background,this paper optimizes the intersection signal phase difference from the basic theory of traffic control,thus reducing the vehicle delay on the main road.In this paper,the main line with multiple intersections is taken as the research object.At first,the situation of delay when pedestrians cross the street and the main line traffic flow conflict at an intersection is analyzed,and it is divided into six situations.With the impact of pedestrian crossing on the main traffic as the core idea,we can get the expression of pedestrian crossing delay through pedestrian crossing delay model,and get the specific parameter value through pedestrian crossing characteristic parameters.At the same time,considering six situations when pedestrians cross the street and conflict with the main traffic flow,combining with the pedestrian crossing delay model,the pedestrian delay of pedestrians crossing the street in six different situations is obtained.Secondly,the composition of traffic flow at each downstream intersection is considered,which is divided into trunk traffic flow and side traffic flow.According to the conflict of pedestrian,side-road vehicle and trunk vehicle when they reach the downstream intersection,this paper analyzes the range of phase difference in these six cases.On this basis,a phase optimization model aiming at minimizing vehicle delay is established and solved by PSO.On this basis,taking 7 intersections of Fenghe North Road in Nanchang as the research object,this paper makes an empirical analysis on it.Based on the measured traffic flow data,the signal synergistic control is carried out on the main road,and the optimal control scheme is found out according to the actual situation.Using the VISSIM simulation system,the control effects of the proposed signal coordination and the existing signal coordination are compared.The results show that this method can significantly reduce the traffic delays on the main roads,and can effectively reduce the queuing time on the main roads.In the optimization scheme,the average vehicle delay in the upstream direction will increase by 14.579 s/veh compared with the existing average vehicle delay,the average vehicle delay in the downstream direction will decrease by 168.799 s/veh,the total pedestrian crossing times will decrease by 98.801 seconds per vehicle at each intersection of the main trunk line selected,the average vehicle delay in the system will decrease by 87.295%,the delay at each intersection of the main trunk line will decrease,and the service level will improve to some extent.The influence of signal coordination is provided for reference.
