| Collaborative innovation is not only a distinctive feature of scientific and technological innovation activities, but also a necessary way to implement the innovation-driven development strategy. An in-depth study and improvement of the problems of the government-industry-university collaborative innovation operation mode of BYD is not only conducive to promoting a reasonable and effective division of labour among the government, industry and universities, but also to gathering various elemental resources and forming a working synergy to promote the innovation and development of new energy vehicle enterprises. With this background, this paper explores the issue of government-industry-university collaborative innovation in BYD,and finds out the positioning and roles played by the government, enterprises and universities in the innovation activities of BYD,with a view to providing some reference for improving the government-industry-university collaborative innovation capacity of BYD and achieving high-quality innovation development. This paper takes BYD Company as the research object and compares the relevant literature and theories at home and abroad through literature analysis,on the basis of which the operational mode of government-industry-university collaborative innovation of the company is analyzed. In the process of analysis, firstly, the single-case analysis method is used to analyse the innovation development of the company;secondly, the relevance of the participating subjects of the government-industry-academia collaborative innovation is analysed by using PCA to reduce the dimensionality;finally, the comparative analysis method is used to explore the cooperation relationship of the participating subjects in depth,so as to clarify the operation mode of the government-industry-academia collaborative innovation of BYD at the present stage.Based on this, the problems and specific causes of the government-industry-academia collaborative innovation in BYD are further analyzed at the level of government guidance, industry implementation and university cooperation, and improvement measures are proposed in the end.The study finds that there are a number of problems between the government, enterprises and universities in the government-industry-university collaborative innovation ecosystem of BYD.The government’s intervention relies too much on subsidies, the industrial layout has the problem of provincial fragmentation, the cooperation and synergy between enterprises and industries is not strong enough, the amount of innovation results transferred is low,and the cooperation between enterprises and universities has the problem of insufficient patent technology undertaking. The main reasons for this are the unreasonable means and level of government subsidies, insufficient integration of the interests of the participating subjects and the large differences in objectives, the weak market awareness of the research results of enterprises and the insufficient demand for research results at the decision-making level. Therefore, improvements can be made by improving the subsidy withdrawal mechanism, strengthening the focus on subsidies for the R&D segment, creating technological innovation alliances, enhancing the innovation capacity of industries, strengthening the sharing of research results, and establishing a sound patent take-up mechanism. |
