Urban public transport is a basic and strategic industry of people’s livelihood,as well as an important support and guarantee to serve urban development and people’s life. With the formulation and promotion of the strategy of "Priority development of urban public transportation",Chinese urban public transport has entered a stage of rapid development. As a typical second-tier city in China undergoing rapid economic and industrial transformation and optimizing the layout of urban public transport system,Xuzhou city is currently facing many problems and challenges. Therefore,in order to improve the operation efficiency of the public transport network, the effective cooperation of different bus modes, and the stability and antiinterference ability of the network operation, based on the complex network theory, this thesis studies and analyzes the static and dynamic characteristics of the public transport network in Xuzhou, and puts forward the thoughts and methods for the optimization and generation of the public transport network in Xuzhou on this basis. The specific research contents are as follows:(1)Building of public transportation network model in Xuzhou.Based on the different definition rules of the complex network model of urban public transportation, the Space-L station network,Space-P interchange network and Space-R route network of Xuzhou public transportation are constructed respectively. The different forms of public transportation network models help to analyze the public transportation system in Xuzhou from different perspectives.(2)Static topological characteristics analysis and dynamic network vulnerability evaluation of public transportation networks. From the perspective of static network structure, the network topology parameters are calculated and quantitatively analyzed to explore the structural performance of public transportation networks under different complex network models and to summarize and analyze the structural characteristics and optimization directions of public transportation networks;then, from the perspective of dynamic network change characteristics, two kinds of attack strategies, random and deliberate, and the analysis framework of network vulnerability are designed to realize the vulnerability analysis and evaluation of public transportation networks from multiple aspects, and provide the theoretical basis for subsequent network optimization and generation.(3)Optimization and generation of public transportation network towards the original bus line network. To address two types of problems usually encountered in the development of public transportation systems, namely, optimization of the mature line network in old urban district and generation of the new urban line network.Firstly, taking the old urban district network in Xuzhou as an example, based on the topological structure analysis and vulnerability performance study, the optimization ideas and schemes of the public transport line network are proposed.Secondly, taking new urban district network in Xuzhou as an example, combined with the characteristics of scale-free network, the public transport network generation algorithm is designed.Through the example application of Xuzhou new urban district, the rationality and effectiveness of the generation algorithm and the generated network are verified. To sum up,this thesis uses complex network theory to simplify and abstract the public transport complex system in reality, and then analyzes and studies it from the perspective of network structure and characteristic performance, and proposes the corresponding network optimization scheme and design ideas, which provides decision-making direction and theoretical basis for the future planning and development of public transport in Xuzhou.
