With the wide application of various new technologies in the display and control interface of rotary drilling rigs,the naturalness and operational efficiency of the driver’s operation process has been significantly improved,but it also causes high complexity and high integration of the display and control interface,and the user needs to receive and respond to more and more information,which increases the user’s cognitive load and operational difficulty.At the same time,different individuals of drivers have different subjective perceptions of information.Therefore,establishing a cognitive model to guide interface design from a cognitive perspective is essential to improve the efficiency of construction operations and the cognitive performance of interface information.Taking the rotary drilling rig visual control interface as the research object,with the objective of enhancing the reliability of rotary drilling rig construction operations and improving the cognitive performance of the driver,the typical task flow of rotary drilling rig operations is sorted out,and the design elements affecting the visual search of the visual control interface are analyzed and extracted by combining with ACT-R theory,and the eye-tracking technology is used to analyze the impact of icons,alarm forms,layouts and other factors on the visual search performance.The impact of visual search performance is analyzed using eye-tracking technology.Based on eye-tracking data such as eye-tracking trajectory and hotspot map,the user’s search strategy is analyzed,and an ACT-R cognitive model based on typical tasks is proposed.Finally,based on the above research results,the design of the rotary drilling rig display and control interface was optimized,and the design scheme was verified to meet the user’s cognitive needs through experiments,and finally,the physical operation device of the display and control interface was designed.The design method of cognitive psychology was applied to the design of the display and control interface of rotary drilling rigs,and the visual processing process of the driver during the operation of the rotary drilling rig was analyzed in depth.Based on this,the design practice of the display and control interface was carried out,which has certain reference significance for the future design of the display and control interface of rotary drilling rigs and other engineering interfaces.
