Research On The Application Of GRG Material In Indoor Curved Surface Modeling

As an expression,material is one of the most important factors that affect the overall effect of the interior,and it is a question worth exploring how best to use them to shape space in an interior.GRG,in Chinese,is a special modified fiber gypsum decorative material,first appeared in foreign countries,it is one of the most popular products in foreign building materials industry.Sustainability is a fundamental requirement for today’s interior design and GRG is a healthy and environmentally friendly material that is in line with the general trend of sustainable development.With the rise of modernism and structuralism,more and more designers are using curved shapes.Inspired by nature,curved surfaces have a calming and soothing effect that is softer and more dynamic than straight lines.The use of curved shapes in interiors optimizes the interior space and provides a rich visual experience and emotional enjoyment.The integration of the use with GRG materials can make the beauty of curved surfaces better reflected in the interior.This paper selects GRG material and curved shape design as the research object,discusses the charm of the material itself and how to apply it to curved shapes.The study focuses on the characteristics of GRG materials in interior spaces and the use of curved elements in interior shapes,combining these two aspects to achieve innovative designs based on the principles of humanity,individuality and sustainability.The characteristics of GRG materials are used in different types of spaces to make the space practical and dynamic at the same time,showing the unique charm of the space.It is hoped that the development of academic research on GRG materials can promote the practical use and visual art performance of GRG materials in the design of interior curved shapes,and trigger more attention and consideration from academics and designers,further explore its aesthetic and ecological value,and give GRG materials a new artistic vitality in the application of curved interiors.
