When clay is made into vessels,it is because of its hollow places that make it functions as a vessel.What this sentence reflects is the importance of space—space endows object with practical functions.Similarly,to study landscape,we must understand the spatial pattern of landscape.As one of the main landscape types in China,rural landscape occupies an important position in landscape spatial pattern.At present,China is in the stage of rapid social development.Affected by urbanization and industrialization,China’s rural areas have been severely impacted in many aspects,and the original natural appearance of rural areas is quietly changing.Therefore,it is urgent to announce study and protection of the rural landscape and spatial pattern.In addition,plants,as one of the four main elements of traditional Chinese landscape architecture,also playing an important role in the rural landscape style.The importance of rural plants and planting space of rural plants studying cannot be ignored.This paper analyzes and summarizes the spatial characteristics of rural plant planting space and the characteristics of rural landscape,and divides rural plant planting space into eight categories according to the differences of rural landscape elements: Planting space at the entrance of the village,planting space at the side of the road,planting space at the courtyard,planting space beside the rural house,planting space at the small square,linear waterfront planting space,periphery open planting space and mountain planting space.In addition,all kinds of spaces are divided into two elements according to the features of rural landscape and plant space: Spatial elements of rural plant planting,Including markers distance(EMD),boundary distance(BD),entrance distance(ED),adjacent building height(ABH),road width(RW),adjacent wall height(AWH),orientation(O),courtyard area(CA),boundary distance ratio(BDR),area(A),waterfront distance(WD),water width(WW),slope(I);Key indicators of rural plants include DBH,UBH,H,CW and PSR.Through these elements,the corresponding variable groups can be combined to build the spatial fitting function model and visualized chart of rural plant planting space.In terms of measurement tools,this paper selects hand-held 3D laser scanner and d TOF Li DAR carried by portable electronic equipment as spatial information acquisition implements.The former has the characteristics of wide scanning coverage and high work efficiency,while the latter has the advantages of high precision and intelligence.The data obtained by the preliminary scanning of the handheld scanner need to be decoded by using Geo SLAM Hub,and then imported into Cloud Compare to complete the filtering and denoising of point cloud data,and finally extracted the variables required by the research.After summarizing the variables,input the data into SPSS to complete the curve estimation,and obtain the quantitative description function model of rural plant planting space for different spatial types.In this paper,field spatial data collection was carried out on traditional villages in southern Jiangsu province,including Dongcun village,Zhili village,Moli village,Luxiang village and Yangwan village.The data were divided into 8 spatial types,125 sample plots were calibrated,and a total of 125 groups of point cloud data were mapped.Statistical Outlier Removal filter and Noise filter integrated in Cloud Compare were used to reduce the noise of the point cloud data,and finally825 spatial data samples were obtained.Graph Pad Prism was used to conduct Spearman correlation coefficient analysis on the correlation of each group of variables in the data sample,and appropriate variable groups were selected and imported into SPSS to complete curve estimation.The curve set of fitting function and model set of fitting function for 8 types of rural plant planting space were obtained.The planting space of traditional villages in southern Jiangsu province was quantitatively described.
