Study On The Design Of Low Maintenance Plant Landscape In Urban Parks

In the rich landscape of urban parks,plant landscapes play a basic and central role,which has strong ecological functions while beautifying the environment.With the rapid development of China’s economy,governments at all levels have increased investment in urban landscape construction,while building high-quality gardens,the construction of plant landscapes also presents a trend of high construction and maintenance costs,if the later maintenance technology or cost can not keep up,it will lead to poor plant growth,poor landscape effect phenomenon,seriously affecting the sustainable development of urban park plant landscape.Therefore,it is urgent to explore the design strategy of using lowmaintenance plants to create plant landscapes under the premise of satisfying the ecological landscape functions of urban parks,so as to ensure the healthy,stable and sustainable development of urban park plant landscapes.Through the study of domestic and foreign literature,combined with successful practice cases,theory combined with practice,this thesis proposes a landscape design strategy for low-maintenance plants in urban parks.The main research results are as follows:(1)Low-maintenance plants have five characteristics,such as strong adaptability,low pruning frequency,low fertilizer and water requirements,good viewing,and local characteristics;The landscape of low-maintenance plants in urban parks has four characteristics: localization,naturalization,stabilization and economization.(2)The landscape design of low-maintenance plants should follow the requirements of landscape ecology,landscape dendrology,resource-efficient landscape,sustainable development,design combined with nature,sponge city and other related theories.(3)The factors of plant species,planting location and planting density affecting the maintenance intensity of plant landscape were analyzed,and the five principles of ecology,rationality,aesthetics,scientificity and economy that should be followed in the landscape design of low-maintenance plants in urban parks were proposed.And on the basis of the overall design,construct the spatial layout of plant landscape from three levels: area,linear,and point.(4)Low-maintenance plant landscape construction should do: pay attention to the current situation of the site and respect the ecological background;Reasonable selection of plants and innovative planting methods;Learn from sponge cities and make rational use of rainwater;Nature is introduced into the city,and residents participate in management.(5)Summarize the five major strategies of low-maintenance plant landscape design in urban parks,namely: Respect nature and reduce human intervention;Matching site with trees,scientific selection of plants;Reasonable planting and building plant communities;People-oriented,to meet the needs of use;Scientific conservation to achieve sustainable development.(6)Feixi County Central Park was selected as a case,based on the overall design of the park,the plant design comprehensively used the design principles,structure and strategies of the above research,divided the park into three functional zones,designed the main road street trees and ribbon waterfront plants,and selected five representative low-maintenance plant landscape nodes to specifically analyze plant selection,configuration methods and strategy applications,and through the creation of area,linear and point plant landscapes,the low-maintenance plant landscape design scheme of Feixi County Central Park was completed.
