Study On The Traffic Capacity Of The Beltway Interchange

In order to ease the transit traffic pressure,many large and above cities are planning and construction of the beltway.As highway around the urban area,beltway can effectively ease the traffic pressure in the urban area,diverge transit and entry-exit vehicles.And the beltway interchange with all the high-grade highways leading to the main urban area,has the characteristics of complex structure and traffic composition.In recent years,with the rapid development of social economy and the rapid increase of vehicle ownership,more and more vehicles choose to take a short trip inside the city by the beltway while the transit vehicles and the exit-entry vehicles increase.The vehicles with complex traffic demand frequently interweave on the beltway interchange,which affects the traffic capacity of the beltway interchange inordinately,causes pressure on the normal operation of the beltway interchange,and presents new traffic characteristics.Based on this background,this paper studies the traffic capacity of the beltway interchange.First of all,this paper analyzes the configuration,traffic composition,function and characteristics of the beltway interchange,and on this basis summarizes the traffic flow characteristics of the beltway interchange,and analyzes the driver characteristics when driving on the beltway interchange.Secondly,according to the traffic characteristics of drivers on the beltway interchange analyzed in this paper,the car-following rule considering drivers’ cautious driving psychology and lane change rule considering drivers’ sensitive lane change psychology are established.On this basis,combined with the traffic flow characteristics of the beltway interchange,the cellular automata models of diverging area,merging area and weaving area are constructed,and the relevant simulation verifications are carried out.Finally,this paper simulates the cellular automata model of each section of the beltway interchange,and studies the traffic capacity of the beltway interchange.Based on the traffic flow characteristics of the beltway interchange and the driver characteristics,this paper proposes a cellular automaton model suitable for the simulation of the beltway interchange,and analyzes the traffic capacity of the beltway interchange,and provides a referential theoretical basis for the future research,program and design of the beltway interchange.
