In recent years, the number of rail projects built and operated in China is increasing. After long-term operation of the line,it is very easy to produce deviation. Therefore,it is very necessary to explore the alignment optimization method that is more in line with the actual needs of the engineering department combined with the line maintenance charac-teristics of the operation line. With the development of inertial navigation technology, the accuracy and speed of the track detection technology based on the principle of inertial measurement to obtain the internal geometric state of the track have exceeded that of the coordinate measurement method. Therefore, using the lateral and vertical deviation ob-tained by inertial measurement to achieve alignment optimization will be more in line with the requirements of the engineering department whether in data acquisition or in work efficiency. In order to explore the method of alignment optimization based on lateral and vertical deviation,a mathematical function model of lateral and vertical deviation and track parameters is derived. For horizontal curves, the two-dimensional plane coordinates and track parameters of the model are partially differentially processed, and the mathematical model of one-dimensional lateral deviation and plane curve radius, turn angle and the amount of change in the length of intermediate straight line is derived; For the verticle alignment, the mathematical model of vertical deviation, grade change point elevation and grade change point mileage is established by partial differential processing of any point elevation model. After the establishment of the alignment optimization model, the simulation experiment was carried out with the subway line of a city as the experimental object.By giving the variation of the plane curve radius, the variation of the turn angle, the variation of the length of intermediate straight line, and the variation of the elevation and mileage of the grade change point on the verticle alignment, the lateral and vertical deviation of the line mileage in the experimental area was calculated by using the alignment optimization model, and the theoretical lateral and vertical deviation calculated by the existing software was compared and analyzed. The results show that the two sets of lateral and vertical deviation are highly consistent, which proves the correctness of the alignment optimization model. Finally,an engineering example is used to verify the effectiveness of the alignment optimization model. For a section of measured lateral deviation data, the radius correction experiment is carried out by using the alignment optimization model, and the turn angle correction experiment is carried out by using the alignment optimization model. The experimental results show that after the measured horizontal deviation is corrected by the alignment optimization model, the maximum value of the horizontal deviation is reduced from 267 mm to16mm,the minimum value of the horizontal deviation is reduced from-301 mm to-11 mm,and the overall horizontal deviation is reduced by more than 95%.The alignment optimization is realized, and the validity of the alignment optimization model is proved.
