High tech enterprises are an important force in achieving "innovation driven" in China,and their innovation capabilities may directly affect the overall process of whether China can achieve the goal of "enhancing core competitiveness and building a world science and technology powerhouse".In particular,the innovation capabilities of enterprises are closely related to the innovative talents(senior management and core technical personnel)in the enterprise.However,due to issues such as delegation conflicts,the innovation enthusiasm of innovative talents in enterprises has been greatly suppressed,which is not conducive to improving the innovation level of enterprises.Therefore,how to effectively motivate innovative talents has become an urgent problem that enterprises and the country need to solve together.The emergence of equity incentive system provides new directions for solving this problem.As of the end of 2021,nearly 80% of high-tech enterprises in China have implemented equity incentive plans,but the implementation results are uneven.Based on this background,this article selects Ningde Times New Energy Technology Co.,Ltd.,a representative high-tech enterprise and a leading enterprise in the new energy industry,as an example to analyze the impact of equity incentive plans on the innovation performance of high-tech enterprises from multiple perspectives.Firstly,after introducing relevant concepts such as equity incentives and innovation performance,the impact mechanism and path of the relationship between equity incentives and innovation performance were analyzed from the perspectives of different incentive targets(executives and core technical personnel).Secondly,this article analyzes the background and current situation of the implementation of equity incentives in high-tech enterprises,and provides a detailed introduction to the equity incentive implementation plan of Ningde Times.It summarizes the implementation characteristics of the plan and lays the foundation for subsequent case studies.Once again,in the process of analyzing the impact of equity incentives on innovation performance,a vertical comparison is made between the changes in indicators brought about by innovation input,output,and innovation income generation before and after the implementation of equity incentives in Ningde Times,and the impact of implementing equity incentives on its innovation performance in different periods is summarized.In addition,by collecting industry average data of comparable companies horizontally and comparing them with the industry average,the impact of external factors on the equity incentive effect of Ningde Times is excluded,and further analysis is conducted on this basis.Through the research on equity incentives and corporate innovation performance in Ningde Times,it was found that equity incentives did have a certain positive impact on the equity incentives in Ningde Times,which increased the innovation input and output of the enterprise.However,while the incentive effect is evident,the company’s equity incentive plan has also exposed some issues that cannot be ignored in the design and implementation process,such as a single incentive model for core employees and low difficulty in meeting performance evaluation indicators.In response to the above problems,this article proposes some targeted policy recommendations,such as designing scientific exercise conditions,adopting diversified equity incentive models,increasing the difficulty of performance evaluation indicators,and strengthening internal and external supervision.Finally,based on the current situation of equity incentives in high-tech enterprises and the case study of Ningde Times,the inspiration is summarized in order to provide experience and reference for the design and implementation of equity incentives in other high-tech enterprises.
