As an important area of the city and an open space carrying many activities,riverside space is an area with both natural and artificial characteristics in the city.The construction and development of urban riverside space plays an important role in the restoration of natural environment,the development of urban functions,public benefits and so on.Therefore,the study of urban riverside area has become a major research hotspot in the academic circle.However,in the past rapid urbanization,due to the neglect of space quality and the occupation of long-term productive functions,the riverside space is lack of reasonable planning and design,resulting in its insufficient utilization efficiency and vitality;At the same time,because the traditional investigation and research methods can not be indepth quantitative analysis for a wide range of riverside space,mostly based on experience summary and observation induction,it is difficult to scientifically put forward the mechanism and related factors affecting its vitality,so there is a lack of specific methods and strategic basis for improving the vitality of riverside space.In recent years,with the gradual popularization and development of the Internet,big data has achieved rapid development and is closely related to social life.Relevant scholars believe that big data research provides a new entry point for solving urban problems.In terms of urban riverside space,some scholars have quantified the riverside vitality and selected influencing factors through the collected big data,and explored the correlation between them through correlation regression analysis.However,the conclusion focuses on the overall research scope,does not consider the temporal and spatial heterogeneity,and lacks the research on the internal influence mechanism of different geographical locations and different time periods.Therefore,this paper attempts to explore the mechanism of vitality and its influencing factors from the two dimensions of time and space.And based on the inherent connections between vitality and its influencing factors,this paper explores the planning and design strategies to improve the vitality and use effect of riverside space.Taking the riverside area of Huangpu River in Shanghai as the research sample,based on the emerging multi-source big data such as Baidu heat-map data,Point Of Interest data and urban road network data,combined with a large number of traditional field investigations,this paper studies the dynamic mode characteristics of the crossstrait space in the main sections of Huangpu River as a whole and in some sections,This paper explores the impact of the two spatial factors of riverside space on the internal space-time structure and the spatial vitality of riverside space respectively.The main research is as follows: at the overall level,the data mining method is used to correct and clean the obtained Baidu thermal degree data,take its level in the calculation unit as the expression of the vitality intensity of Huangpu River waterfront space,and visually analyze the pattern characteristics and change law of the overall vitality in time and space dimensions;Furthermore,based on the previous research and the availability of all kinds of big data,this paper puts forward a feasible index system of influencing factors of riverside space vitality,including construction density,functional diversity,accessibility and ecology etc.,then makes a geographically and temporally weighted regression correlation analysis on the spatio-temporal distribution characteristics and influencing factors of riverside space vitality,and quantitatively evaluates the influence degree and spatio-temporal differences of various factors on riverside space vitality;At the local level,through the actual interview,aerial photography and questionnaire survey,this paper combines the smaller precision space-time data with the traditional data,as well as the subjective and objective data,statistically analyzes the vitality characteristics of the representative local riverside space,studies the vitality types and distribution of the riverside area from the micro perspective,and also explores the influence mechanism of the internal structural elements on the vitality at the micro level.The main conclusions of the study are as follows:From the perspective of riverside space vitality itself,the change has obvious temporal and spatial regularity.In terms of time,the types of activities in the morning and evening of working days are more abundant,and the vitality value gradually increases from the morning to a certain level after working hours.On weekends,the overall activity intensity is delayed compared with working days,the vitality value increases significantly after noon,and the average peak value is greater than that of working days;In terms of space,the vitality value of urban central areas and some areas with relatively mature development is generally large,and some characteristic riverside areas also have high vitality.From the perspective of the influencing factors affecting the vitality of riverside space,building density,functional diversity and accessibility play a more positive role in the vitality on the whole,while the role of ecological indicators shows a trend of duality,which shows that the public service and construction completion of riverside area can promote the agglomeration of people flow,and the mixed and diversified functions of riverside area should be strengthened and moderately developed,At the same time,we should pay attention to the construction of walking and public transportation accessibility.Simply paying attention to green ecology and ignoring the necessary artificial environment is not conducive to the actual use and vitality.For most other indicators,the driving effect of relevant factors on vitality is the largest in key sections,that is,urban central areas,and this impact gradually decreases from the outside to the center.Similarly,in the peak period of activities,such as weekends and weekdays from noon to evening,the influence will be significantly greater than that in other periods,which means that the variables related to architectural environment characteristics and urban vitality show significant temporal and spatial changes in the whole study area,which proves the temporal and spatial non-stationary relationship between these variables and urban vitality in riverside space.Based on the perspective of spatio-temporal heterogeneity,this paper puts forward a quantitative method to analyze the role of influencing factors of urban riverside space vitality in different regions and different periods,and tries to explore the internal logic behind it.According to the research results of typical riverside space,in order to seek direct and effective solutions to improve riverside space vitality from multiple dimensions,and put forward relevant measures and reference suggestions for riverside space planning,design and management in combination with the overall and key local sections. |
