The emergence of new technologies is constantly pushing forward the progress of modern society.Thanks to the Internet of Things,smart home is flourishing and widely favored by users in the market.Scientific and technological progress is constantly changing people’s lifestyle,and prompting people to pursue a more comfortable and higher-quality life at the same time.Smart home aims to create a safe,convenient and intelligent home living environment for users by constantly integrating modern big data,the Internet of Things and other cutting-edge technologies.However,it remains difficult to promote the application of smart home in traditional families at this stage due to the high investment cost,wide variety and lack of a unified platform for interconnection.Based on these problems,the study develops and designs an ESP32-based smart home system using a microcontroller to integrate multiple sensors and transmit the information collected by the devices to the cloud platform through wireless connection to meet the needs of users.The overall functions of the system mainly include intelligent security module,air quality detection module,electrical appliances intelligent control module and wireless remote control module.ESP32 is selected as the core processor of the system after analysis and comparison.And functions such as access control identification,music doorbell and intrusion detection are realized through artificial vision sensor,touch sensor and human body sensing sensor.Temperature and humidity sensor,light sensor,raindrop sensor and infrared remote control are used to realize the control of fans,curtains,windows and lights.Flame sensor,gas sensor and environment sensor are used to detect and predict the quality of environment at home.The overall framework of the system has been constructed,and the selection of sensors,hardware circuit design and programming of each module have been completed.The system terminal is designed to transmit the data collected by the device to the One NET Io T cloud platform by means of wireless communication.The cloud platform sends messages through the MQTT protocol.The One NET Io T cloud platform is used to create product devices,manage data flow,realize information communication between devices and the cloud platform,and display the collected data sources in the form of graphics on the client.The OneNET Io T cloud platform has the function of data storage,and the cloud platform can display real-time monitoring data information,issue message commands,and remotely control household appliances.The study developed an intelligent home system based on ESP32,with normal function of each module,high sensor sensitivity and accurate data collection after several tests.Users can control the device and connect it to the cloud platform,and the collected data can be transmitted to the cloud platform in real time.The system is characterized by certain stability and reliability,simple operation,as well as safety and intelligence,making it in line with the design requirements,thus exhibiting a high practical value.
