After policies have been introduced in various regions to encourage intelligent connected vehicle travel,some autonomous driving companies have started fully unmanned commercial pilot operations.Intelligent vehicles require a complete set of technical support to achieve full unmanned operation,including single vehicle intelligence,safety redundancy,and remote driving.The first two capabilities can ensure that intelligent vehicles can cope with most scenarios,but they are insufficient to carry unmanned vehicles on the ground and require the support of vehicle remote driving technology.However,existing remote driving technology has certain limitations.In response to the above situation,this article has designed and developed a remote driving system based on V2 X.The main research content of this article is as follows:1.This article analyzes the functional and performance requirements of the remote driving system,designs a general framework based on V2 X remote driving system,and elaborates on the key technologies involved in the functional implementation process.The cloud platform,edge computing technology(MEC)and V2 X vehicle road collaboration model are studied,compared with the traditional Internet of Vehicles technology,and its advantages in performance are analyzed.2.This article proposes a solution for implementing a remote driving system from both hardware and software aspects,analyzing the combination of V2 X technology and remote driving system.The hardware includes selection and configuration description,the software includes the implementation of design requirements,functions,and key technology applications,and studies the methods for switching driving modes under different vehicle models.3.After the implementation of the remote driving system,various functions and technologies were tested.Finally,the remote driving system was used for actual vehicle testing to verify the system’s functionality and performance.
