Research On Programming And Design Of Tongxin Transport Tourism Complex In Dongtou District,Wenzhou

This research is a part of the project "Planning and Design of Traffic Tourism Complex of Tongxin Square in Dongtou District,Wenzhou City" of the Joint Research Center for Dong Construction and Urban-Rural Development in Zhejiang University.Through the in-depth investigation and research on the development status of Dongtou,a prospective planning scheme of Traffic Tourism Complex of Tongxin Square was proposed by the research team based on the synthetic judgment of various factors such as the urban strategic planning and project positioning.The author,as a team member,was privileged to participate in the planning and research of the project,and carried out the specific schematic design on this basis.Tongxin Square,as a relatively limited large-scale project in Dongtou,has superior construction conditions.The initial function was positioned as a bus passenger terminal with a single function.The research team,based on the long-term tracking research of Dongtou,believed that the project should take on a more important role in the urban development.Therefore,the team took the initiative to re-programming,upgrading it from a single-function bus passenger terminal to a comprehensive urban node,thus supporting the all-for-one tourism construction of the city,enhancing the welfare of indigenous inhabitants and promoting the high-quality development of the city.The Tongxin Square Project mainly consisted of planning research and scheme design.An in-depth research on the status quo of Dongtou was conducted by the research team,its advantages for development,existing problems,opportunities and challenges faced were sorted out,and the necessity of re-planning the project was clarified;in addition,five construction goals were proposed,that is,Wenzhou’s transition to the "oceanic era",the image landmark of all-for-one tourism in Dongtou,the future-oriented dynamic engine,sea-land interconnection and multi-functional mixing interchange station.Three strategies were formulated,including highly-mixed urban functions,integration of multiple spatial scales,and reasonable planning of traffic streamlines.And the format planning,based on the supplement of tourism services and improvement of urban living facilities,was carried out and the overall layout was preliminarily determined.On the basis of "Project Plan",the author completed the schematic design of the Project of Traffic Tourism Complex of Tongxin Square.In terms of format,with the bus passenger terminal and water wharf as the core,the functions such as yacht club,general business,hotel,apartment,cultural exhibition hall,movie theater,etc.were mixed,so as to create the future dynamic engine of Dongtou;in terms of modelling,a new simple and modern urban landmark was designed.
