Abstract/Summary:
Coaxial magnetic gears are a type of gear mechanism in which the gears are composed of magnetic fields rather than traditional mechanical components. In recent years, there has been an increased interest in developing magnetic gear systems for use in industrial applications, where high power density and low noise levels are required.Bridged Flux Modulators(BFM)are critical components in coaxial magnetic gear systems,as they are responsible for controlling the torque transfer between the gears. This literature review will examine the various design considerations and techniques that have been used in the development of BFMs.The design of BFMs in coaxial magnetic gear systems is a complex and challenging task due to the interplay between the magnetic fields, geometry, and material properties of the components. The critical design parameters include the gap size, bridge width, magnetic material, and orientation of magnetic fields.A thorough understanding of these design considerations is essential for the development of high-performance coaxial magnetic gear systems. The performance of bridged flux modulators in coaxial magnetic gear is analyzed using different parameters like different thicknesses of bridge, different radii of clamping rods and different number of clamping rods. After considering theses aspects, suitable parameters are proposed for design of gear.
